How to install the Teesa TSA0202 cooker?

Place the cooker near a gas supply, at least 10 cm from walls. Plug it into a 220-240 V socket. Ensure the room is well ventilated. Connect the gas according to the applicable standard (natural gas or butane/propane, nozzle provided depending on the country).

How to light the gas burners?

Press the burner knob and turn it to the 'ignition' position (flame symbol). Push the knob to activate the electronic ignition. Keep it pressed for 3 to 5 seconds after ignition to activate the thermocouple. Release: the flame should remain lit.

What to do if the burner flame is irregular or yellow?

Check that the burners are clean: the openings must be clear. Clean the caps and rings with a brush. Make sure the nozzle matches the type of gas used. If the problem persists, contact technical support.

How to clean the pyrolytic oven?

Remove the grids and drip tray. Select the pyrolysis function (temperature ~500°C). The door locks automatically. After 1h30, the oven cools down. Wipe the ashes with a damp cloth. Caution: do not use chemical products on the self-cleaning walls.

Why is the oven not heating?

Check that power is present and the fuse has not blown. Make sure the thermostat is set. If the oven remains cold, the heating element or thermostat is faulty, requiring replacement by a professional.

How to change the gas (butane/propane to natural or vice versa)?

Unscrew the nozzles on each burner (natural gas: diameter 1.00 mm; butane/propane: 0.70 mm). Replace them with the appropriate nozzles provided with the appliance. Adjust the air flow on the burners. Have it checked by a certified installer.

The oven display is flashing, what to do?

The flashing display may indicate a timer error or a malfunction. Reset the appliance by unplugging it for 5 minutes. If the problem persists, contact after-sales service.

How to use the grill function?

Place the food on the upper oven rack. Select the grill function (zigzag symbol). Preheat for 5 minutes. Cook with the door closed. Monitor cooking to avoid burning the food. Use the drip tray to collect the juices.

Can copper pots be used on the cooker?

Yes, as long as the bottom is flat and stable. Avoid pans with a diameter over 26 cm for the large burners. Copper pans of appropriate size are perfectly suitable.

How to activate the child safety lock of the oven?

Press and hold the 'lock' button (often a key with a padlock) for 3 seconds until a padlock symbol appears. To deactivate, repeat the operation. This prevents children from using the oven.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

In order to reduce the risk of injuries or damages, follow basic safety precautions applied when using any electrical device, including the following:

1. Read the entire instruction manual before you start installation and assembly and keep it for future reference.
2. Before connecting the device to power supply socket, make sure the voltage indicated on the device corresponds to the voltage in the power supply socket.
3. Place the device on a flat, stable and heat resistant surface.
4. Protect this device from shock and being dropped.
5. Clean this device in accordance to instructions listed in Cleaning and Maintenance section.
6. ALWAYS turn off the device and disconnect it from the mains supply:

1. When you disconnect the power cord of the device, grasp and pull the plug, not the cord/cable.

2. 10. DO NOT use this device if the power cable is damaged or the appliance is broken.

11. Do not attempt to repair this device yourself. Only authorized and qualified personnel may repair this device. The device has no user serviceable parts inside.

12. Danger of burning! Do not touch any part of the device while operating (except for the thermostat knobs) and after turning it off before it cools down completely! The device cools down slower than it heats up.

13. Do not move the device during operation nor immediately after use, allow it to cool down first.

14. Locate the appliance in a place with sufficient air circulation to prevent overheating. Do not block the ventilation outlets of the device.

15. Do not leave the appliance unattended when it's working!

16. Producer of this product is not responsible for damages caused by inappropriate handling and using of the device.

17. Do not place empty pots on the switched on plate.

18. Pay attention not to spill liquid (water, milk etc.) on the plate as it may damage the device.

19. Do not use this appliance as worktop nor countertop for storage.

20. Never store this device near flammables or fusible products.

21. Do not place metal objects (knife, spoons etc.) on the plate as they will get hot – risk of burns.

22. In order to avoid a hazard due to inadvertent resetting of the thermal cutout, this appliance must

not be supplied through an external switching device, such as a timer, or connected to a circuit that is regularly switched on and off by the utility.

OPERATION

1. Before first use peel off any labels and remove tapes, foil packaging etc.

2. Make sure to place appliance is on a flat, dry and heat-resistant surface.

3. Turn the temperature knob to "off" position.

4. Plug the power cable to the power supply socket. And put the pot on the plate. Note: do not turn on the plate with no pot placed on the plate.

5. Switch on the temperature knob to the desired setting (between MIN and MAX). The indication light will go on which signalizes heating up to set temperature. When the indicator light goes off, the plate have reached the set temperature. The thermostat cycles on and off to maintain the set temperature.

WARNING: The appliance will be very hot. DO NOT touch the appliance while in use or it has not cooled down completely.

1. Turn the knob to off and unplug the appliance when not in use and let it cool down before storing or moving.

IMPORTANT: It is advised not to use the product for longer than 1 hour at a time. After 1 hour operation, unplug it from power mains and allow to cool down.

NOTES

• Always use flat bottom saucepans or pots that make close contact with the heating plate.

- Avoid dropping any liquid on the plate for long-life performance.

- At first use, the appliance may release an odor and slight smoke. This is a normal reaction caused by initial heating of the plate.

• Exercise caution during operation - risk of burning!

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

- Before each cleaning, disconnect the device from the power supply and make sure it's completely cooled down.

• For cleaning, use a soft cloth moistened with water or a paper towel.

• To clean stubborn food residue stains, use a cloth soaked in soapy water.

• After cleaning, dry the device thoroughly.

• Never immerse the appliance, cord or plug in water or other liquids.

- Do not use abrasive cleaning agent. Never use metal, sharp or coarse cleaning utensils as they can damage the plates.
