Frequently Asked Questions - PRAKTLYSING 105.142.64 IKEA

How to install the PRAKTLYSING blind?
Installation is done by wall or ceiling mounting using the provided brackets. First measure the width of your window and choose the appropriate blind size. Screw the brackets horizontally and clip the blind.
What sizes are available for this model?
The PRAKTLYSING model comes in several widths (60, 80, 100, 120, 140, 160, 180 cm) with a standard length of 195 cm. Check the article number for the exact size.
Is the PRAKTLYSING blind blackout?
Yes, it provides total blackout thanks to its thick coated polyester fabric. Ideal for bedrooms or rooms requiring darkness.
How to clean this roller blind?
Use a soft dry cloth or a vacuum with a brush to remove dust. Do not use water or chemicals to avoid damaging the fabric.
Is there a risk with a cord?
No, this model is cordless: it works by simply pulling the fabric. This eliminates any strangulation risk, making it safe for children and pets.
Is the PRAKTLYSING blind difficult to install?
No, installation is simple and only requires a few tools (drill, level). Mounting brackets are included. Follow the step-by-step instructions provided in the manual.
Can I cut the blind to fit my window?
No, the blind is ready to use and cannot be cut. Choose the width closest to your window. Side gaps can be managed with end caps.
What is the weight of the blind?
The weight depends on the width: approximately 1 kg for an 80 cm blind and up to 2 kg for larger sizes. The weight is indicated on the packaging.
Does the blind block heat?
The thick fabric helps to insulate slightly by reducing heat loss through the window. However, it is not a certified thermal insulator.
Where can I find spare parts?
Contact IKEA customer service or visit a store to order parts such as brackets or fabric. Keep the article number (105.142.64) to facilitate the search.
