■ CAUTION! Do not move this grill during operation as it becomes very hot!
- Do not use in enclosed spaces! There is a risk of carbon monoxide poisoning when grilling indoors.
■ CAUTION! Do not use alcohol or petrol for lighting or relighting the grill! Only use ignition aids that comply with EN 1860-3!
■ CAUTION! Keep away from children and pets!
■ CAUTION! For safety reasons, the device may only be ignited with ignition paste. Make sure that no ignition paste gets into the air duct. Do not use a charcoal starter or anything similar!
- Do not remove the charcoal from the charcoal container after lighting.
- Do not place food on the grill until the fuel is covered with a layer of ashes!
■ Never leave the hot grill unattended.
■ Never touch metal parts; they can be very hot.
■ Make sure that the grate is always correctly positioned on the supports.
■ Never operate the charcoal grill without the grease guard (part no. 5).
Dab excess fat/marinade off the food before grilling. This does not diminish the taste of the grilled food; it is purely to prevent a grease fire.
To avoid a grease fire and to prevent grease from flowing into the interior, make sure that any grease dripping from the grill does not exceed the "max" mark.
- Let the grill cool down completely before cleaning.
- Please always choose a safe, level surface in a suitable location to use the grill.

The device should not be transported while warm.
We recommend that the grill be heated up before first use and that the fuel burns for at least 30 minutes.
The charcoal container has a maximum capacity of 150 g for Enders Beech Charcoal.
- Do not use this grill near flammable objects.
■ Do not use aerosol sprays near the device.
■ Make sure that the live parts do not get wet.
- Do not allow the enamelled cast grates to come into contact with highly acidic food.
To prevent damage to the coating of the enamelled grill grate due to thermal shock, never place very cold or frozen food on it! (Only applies to grill grates.)
■ Do not allow children to play with the device.
- Do not allow children to carry out cleaning or user maintenance.

BATTERY OPERATION FIRE AND EXPLOSION HAZARD

Enders Aurora - BATTERY OPERATION FIRE AND EXPLOSION HAZARD - 1

Danger for children and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities (e.g. partially disabled people, elderly people with reduced physical and mental capabilities) or a lack of experience and knowledge (e.g. children).

  • Keep the device away from children younger than 8 years of age.
Children over 8 years of age may only switch the device on and off if they are supervised or have been instructed in the safe use of the device and have understood the dangers involved.
    ■ CAUTION: Risk of explosion if batteries are not handled properly.
Batteries must not be charged, reactivated by other means, taken apart, thrown into fire, heated or short-circuited. Otherwise there is an increased risk of explosion and leakage, and gases may escape!

- Avoid contact of the battery fluid with skin, eyes and mucous membranes In case of contact, rinse the affected areas immediately with plenty of clean water and consult a doctor immediately.

■ Safe handling of the batteries must be ensured: only commercially approved AA/LR6 batteries in perfect condition may be used.

■ CAUTION! Do not use rechargeable batteries. The temperature in the battery compartment can be very high.

■ CAUTION! Batteries may only be changed when the device has cooled down.

If necessary, clean the battery and device contacts before inserting them.

■ Remove the batteries from the grill when they are flat or if you do not intend to use the grill for a long time. This way you avoid damage that can be caused by battery leakages.

Do not expose batteries to extreme conditions, e.g. by storing them on heaters or in direct sunlight. Increased risk of leakage!

Battery operation: 4 x 1.5 V DC AA/LR6 (6 V DC)

Insert four AA/LR6 batteries. Please ensure the correct polarity. Slide the battery compartment back into the side panel and close it.
  2. Fill the charcoal container completely to the brim with Enders Beech Charcoal (max. 150 g).
  3. Apply an even, approximately 10 mm-wide ring of the Enders Ignition Paste around the hole of the ignition bowl (approx. 20 ml). The ignition bowl is positioned in the designated recess.
  4. Switch on the fan control knob on the exterior and turn it to the highest level to begin with (three-dot position). To prevent the flame from being smothered during the ignition process, the fan must remain switched on until the charcoal is glowing completely.
