1.1 Safety Instructions
DO NOT INSTALL YOUR RECEIVER: In a closed or poor ventilated cabinet; direct on top ofor under any other equipment; on a surface which might obstruct the ventilation slots. DO NOT EXPOSE THE RECEIVER OR ITS ACCESSORIES: = To direct sunlight or any other equipment that generates heat to rain or intense moisture; to intense vibration and to any shock which may cause permanent damage to your receiver or to any magnetic objects, such as loudspeakers, transformens, ec. Do not use a damaged power cord. I may cause a fre or an electric shock. Do not touch a power cord with wet hands. may cause an electric shock. When the receiver is not used for a long period oftime, you should unplug the power cord from the wall socket. = Do notuse alcohol or ammonia based liquids to clean the receiver. IF you wish, you may clean your receiver with a sof lintfree cloth slightly made damp with a mild soap solution, and on afer disconnecting from the mains voltage supply. Make sure no foreign objects fall through the ventilation slots because this could cause fie or an electric shock Do not place any objects on top ofthe receiver because this might prevent proper cooling ofthe companents inside. Safety Precautions Never ty to open the receiver. lis dangerous to touch the inside ofthe receiver due to high voltages and possible electrical hazards. Opening the receiver will void the warranty ofthe product. Refer all maintenance or servicing to suitably qualied personnel. When you are connecting cables, be sure that the receiver is disconnected from the mains supply voltage. Wait a few seconds after switching ofFthe receiver before you move the receiver or disconnect any equipment. Itis a necessity that you only use an approved extension and compatible wiring that is suitable for the electrical power consumption oFthe installed equipment. Please ensure that the electrical power supply corresponds with the voltage on the electrical identification plate at the back of the receiver. Ifthe receiver does not operate normal even afer strict following the instructions in this user manual, it is recommended to consult your dealer.

1.3 Equipment Set-up
Ve recommend you consul a professional installer to set up your equipment. 3.1 Connecting to a Terrestrial Antenna
To receive broadcasted signals, your terrestial indoor or outdoor antenna must be connected to the ANT IN connector on the back ofthe receiver. Use a properly shielded antenna cable and suitable connectors. The TO TV connector allous you to loop the antenna signal to a second receiver or TV set. Please consider that the looped signal might be 100 weak if you use an active antenna. Ifthe signals at your location are t00 weak to receive proper signals vith an indoor antenna, we recommend using an outdoor antenna which can be pointed towards the transmission touer. Ask your local dealer for more information.
3.2 Connecting to TV with HDMI cable

3.3 Connecting to TV with SCART cable

3.5 Connecting to a Digital Audio Amplifier and TV
using HDMI Fes By connecting your receiver t ie latest digital amplifiers or Home Cinema systems you will enjoy the best possible sound quality and multi-channel audio (depending on broadcas}. Connect the HDMI output ofthe receive to an imput of your amplifier and then connect the HDMI output ofthe amplifier to your TV set. Select the correct input on your amplifier to watch and listen to programmes.
3.6 Connecting to an analogue Audio Amplifier

3.7 Connecting a USB storage device

4.0 STARTING UP FOR THE FIRST TIME
When you use your receiver for the first time, the Welcome “Easy install” menu appears. Use À V to move the highlight to the setting you wish to alter and use 4 to change values. Start by selectng your language using 4. Once you have selected your language, press W to move the highlight to the next item and use 4 to change. Language Here you can choose your language. Region. Select your region where this receiver is used. Sub: Select Normal to display subtiles per default, Select Hard of Hearing to show HoH subtiles per default. Select Ofta hide subtiles per default Aspect Mode: Use this option to select the aspect ratio of your TV and the preferred conversion method. Options are: ‘Auta (automatic detection of aspect ratio), 4:3 Panscan (Displays 16:9 Widescreen broadcasts full sereen on your 4:3 TV), 43 letterbox (black bars on top and under the picture on a 4:3 TV) and 16:9 (use this setting for 169 TV sets) ‘Scan mode Select AÏ to store scrambled and free to air channels or select Free to store ny free to air channels. NOTE: Scrambled channels cannot be viewed with this receiver. Connection: Use this option to adjustthe established connection to your TV set. Par gun <STRON DIGTAL TV Wrong region selection can lead to missing channels or channels being stored at wrong positions in the channel list. The receiver will now advance to the Aerial Adjustment screen This part ofthe wizard is of great help when setting up your antenna system. Use A Y to move the highlight to the setting you wish to alter and use 4 to change values. The felloving settings are available: Antenna Power: Set to On if you use an active antenma. When set to On, 5 V will be present at he ANT IN connector oFthe receive. Select Offor passive antennas. Besper Select On for an audible indication of signal reception. Offturms the beeper of. Channel No. Select a channel that is know to carry a broadeast in your region. The Signal Strength and Signal Quality bars give a visual indication ofthe reception. AAdjust your antenna to obtain maximum signal strength and qualit. When all settings have been made, press OK to start scanning. The receiver will search for al available channels now Once scanning is finished, the receiver switches to vieuing mode. Ifthe Welcome menu does not appear afer switching on the receiver the first time, reset the receive Lo factory settings by pressing the MENU button and selecting Load Factory Seting in the submenu Tool. (DEFAULT PIN: 1234).
5.0 QUICK GUIDE TO USING YOUR RECEIVER
Ve at STRONG understand that ou can't wait to enjoy your new high definition digital terestral receiver. The following quick guide will make you familiar with the basic operation of this device. We do, however, advice you to read the full manual to get the best performance fiom your receive. To tu your receiver ON or to Standby, use the À button on the remote control Choose the desired channel with the À W buttons. Alternativel, you can digit the channel number with the 0-9 buttons on the remote control or press OK in viewing mode to display the channel lis The volume can be adjusted with the 4 buttons.
Your new receiver is equipped with several features to make watching TV a true pleasure. This paragraph describes these features. Please also read chapter 7.0 o get amiliar vith the menu of your receive.
6.1 Changing channels
Following ways re pessible for changing channels with your new recever: 1 Via direct access using the 0-9 buttons Via the channel ist through OK and the PG+/PG buttons. = Viathe AY buttons
6.1.1 Direct access via 0-9 buttons
To gain direct access to a certain channel, simply imput its number with the 0-9 buttons on the remote contrl. Channel numbers can be up to four digits long, Entering a number with less than four digis is possible. Just wait a few seconds and your receiver will switch to the selected channel or press OK immediately afer selecting the channel number www.strongtv 7 English
Press OK in viewing mode to display the Channel List. Use A W in the channel ist to highlight your channel ofchoice and press OK once to select the highighted channel. Press OK again to leave the channel list mode. Inside the channel list is possible to use the PG+/PG- buttons as well in order to scroll page:wise through the lis Use 4 10 toggle betneen the A Channel ist and Favourite Hist(s) or press FAVin viewing mode for a list of available Favourite lists 6:13 Using the A v buttons A suitches to the net channel *Y suitches to the previous channel.

Press INFO three times for technical detals about the current channel Event information is displayed when avalable. Avalabilty depends on broadcast.
6.3 Selection of audio language
Some channels support a choice of audio formats and/or languages. To select another audio stream, press AUDIO in viewing mode. À lis th available audio streams will now be displayed. Use À W to Select the desired stream and confirm with OK. The audio channel as stereo, mono, lef and right can be selected with the 4 buttons.
Your recever includes a ful featured Teletex To access Teleteu, press the TTX button in vieuing, mode and use the 0-9 buttons to input the number ofthe page jou wish to see. The coloured buttons ofthe remote control allow you to jump to selected pages direct as indicated om the bottom ‘fthe Teletext screen, Use the À Y buttons to select one page up or dou, use 4 buttons to select subpages. Press EXIT or TTX to get back to viewing mode.

Timeshif. allows you to pause ve broadezss and resume playback later. To activate this function set the Timeshifl mode in the DVR Seting menu to on by selecting Pause. For details, see 7.63. 6.7 EPG (Electronic Programme Guide)
‘The Electronic Programme Guide is a very useful function that allows you to view event schedules and programme information and to mark events/movies fr recording, To access the EPG, press the EPG button in viewing mode. Use À W to select a channel and 4 to select an event. Press OK to display detailed information ofthe selected event. Use EXIT to qui the detailed information screen. Press RED to access further step functions. Use 4 to select the desired step and OK to execute it Press EXIT to quitte step function. Press GREEN o set a timer for a selected event, Refer to section

6.8 Instant Recording
Your new receive allows you to make an instant recording of the programme you are watching. Simply press RECORD to star he recording. To enter the duration fr the recording, press RECORD again. Use the 0-9 buttons to enter the recording time and press OK to confirm. AEthe beginning ofthe recording a recording sign vil be shown for a short while on the upper left comer of jour TV screen. To stop the recording, press M. Select Yes and press OK again to stop the recording. is possible to make 2 recordings at the same time they are broadcasted on same frequency. You can access the Record Manager via the FILE button, and select Record by pressing the button 1 See chapter 7.61 for details.
‘The main menu gives you access to settings, multimedia functions and games. To access the main menu, press MENU in viewing mode. The main menu consists ofthe following sub menus: Edit Channel, Installation, System Setup, Took, Games and Media. ‘Throughout he main menu, MENU or EXIT can be used to get back to the previous screen
Use A Y 10 select Edit Channel and press OK or to enter. Use À Y to highlight the submenu of choice and press OK to select Press EXIT or 4 to get back to the main menu.
7.1.1 TV Channel List
In Edit Channel menu select TV Channel List with A V and press OK 10 enter. Use 4 10 change the channel group (assumed you have ready set up favourite groups) Select the channel oFchoice with A W. Press OK to view the selected channel in the previeu box.
7.1.1.1 Adding channels to favourite lists
Channels from the TV Channel List can be added to up to 8 different favourite groups. Press FAV in TV Channel List to access this function. The FAV sign on the top oFthe screen will move up to indicate thatthe Favourite function is selected. Use À W to select a channel you wish to add to a Favourite group. When the highlight is on the channel of your choice, press OK. A list with all available Favourite lists will now pop up. Use A to select the favourite ist you wish to add the channel to and press (OK, press EXIT to inalize the process. Favourite channels will be marked with a heart symbol. When www.strongtv 9 English

71.12 Locking channels
Locked channels can only be watched after entering the PIN code. (DEFAULT PIN: 1234) Te lock or unlock a channel, press RED wie in TV Channel Lit. Use A W to select a channel and press OK to lock or unlock You are asked to input the PIN code, (DEFAULT PIN: 1234 Locked channels will be marked with the & symbol. Lockingunlocking multiple channels in one session is possible. When al changes have been made, press EXT ivice. À confirmation banner il pop up. Select Yes t save the changes or No to discard.
711.13 Skipping channels
Channels marked with Sp will be skipped when zapping channels with the A W buttons. The channels wi til be available rom the channel ist. To mark channels or skipping, press GREEN wile in TV Channel List. Use À W 10 select a channel and press OK to mark or uma for skping. Channels set for skpping wil be marked with the = symbol. When all changes have been made, press EXIT vice. À confirmation banner will pop up. Select Yes t save the changes or No to discard
71.14 Moving channels
To enable the Move function, press YELLOW while in TV Channel Lis. Use A Ÿ to select a channel and press OK to select. Now you can move the selected channel up or doum inside the channel ist by using À W. When the channels on the position of your choice, press OK again, The channel is now fned on ts new position. When al changes have been made, press EXIT vice. À confirmation Banner il pop up. Select Yes t save the changes or No to discard.
7.1.1.5 Editing channels
he Edi function allows ou to So, Rene ar Delte channels, To enterthe Edit menu, press BLUE while in TV Channel List. The Edit Channel menu ill appear. Ifyou made changes in the previous menu, but haven't saved them yet, you wil be asked to do Son Press RED 10 enter the Sort menu Use A to select sorting method and press OK to confirm. Possible methods are: Name (AZ) Soring in alphabetcal order from A t Z. Name (ZA) Soring in alphabetcal order from Z to A. Free/Scramble: First in the list will be Free-To-Air channels. Lock All unlocked channels wi placed first in the list. Default: Soring by searched Order (rom lowest to highest frequency or by LCN numbering). w wstrongiv

Select es to save the changes or No to discard. Delete Press BLUE in Edit Channel to enable the Delete function. The Delete sign will move up to indicate that Delee is selected. Use À W to highlight a channel and press OK to mark it for deletion. When you have marked all channels you wish to delete, press EXIT twice. À confirmation banner will be displayed. Select Ve to delete the marked channels or Na to cancel
7.1.2 Radio Channel List
Basical, the operation ofthe Radio Channel List is the same as in the TV Channel List, The only difference is that in Radio Channel List there is no video information, so it will always display the radio background on the preview screen.
Use this menu to delete al stored channels. Select Delte Al with A W and press OK. The receiver asks you to enter the pin code. (DEFAULT PIN:1234). Inside the confirmation window select Yes with > and press OK 10 delete or select No t cancel WARNING! ‘The Delete al function will permanently delete al current channels and all Favourite lists from your receiver, and you are not able to leave the menu until you search for channels again.
7.1.4 Rename Favourite list
‘This menu allows you to personalize the names ofthe 8 available Favourite lists. Use A Y to select Rename Favourite Lis from the Edit Channel Menu and press OK to proceed. The names ofall groups are now displayed. Select a favourite group with À W and press OK to edit ts name. A text field wil now pop up at the right ofthe screen. Use 4 À V to select characters and enter them with OK. When you have fnished editing, press BLUE to save the changes. When all “changes have been made, press EXIT twice to leave his menu:

Use À Y 10 select Installation, press OK or D to advance. Use À Y 10 select Channel Scon and press OK 19 enter. Use 4 to ogg betneen available scan modes: By Channel and By Frequency. 1FBy Channel is selected, use the eursor buttons to select Scan Band and Channel Ne. By Frequency is selected, use the cursor buttons to select Frequency and Bandvidth. Highlight Search and press OK Lo start scanning. New found channels wll be added to the channel ist.
Use A to select Installation, press OK or D to advance. Use A Y to select Antenna Power and press OK 10 enter. Set to On ifyou use an active antenna. Select Of for passive antennas When set to On, 5 V will be present on the ANT IN commector ofthe receiver. Press EXIT to leave the Anterna Power menu.
7.2.4 LCN (Logical Channel Numbering)
1FLCN (Logical Channel Numbeing) is activated and an LCN signal is provided bythe operator, channels vil be storedin an operator defined order, St LCN 1o On to activate operator defined channel numbering or Ofto store channels in found order This function en applies when a new channel search is performed.

Use this menu to match your receiver to your TV set. The following setings are available: Video Resolution: Use this option to select te video resolution of your TV screen. Options are: m2 wwwsstrong:tv
