Frequently Asked Questions - AFV30 Airflo

How do I change the dust bag in the Airflo AFV30?
Open the dust compartment lid, remove the full bag by pulling the cardboard tab, and insert a new bag until it clicks into place. Ensure the bag is properly seated before closing the lid.
How often should I clean the HEPA filter?
We recommend cleaning the washable HEPA filter every month. Rinse it under cold water, let it dry completely for 24 hours before reinstalling. Do not use the vacuum without a dry filter.
What attachments come with the AFV30?
The AFV30 includes a crevice tool for tight spaces, an upholstery brush for furniture, and a dusting brush for delicate surfaces. All attach to the wand or hose.
Why is my vacuum losing suction?
Loss of suction can be caused by a full dust bag, clogged filter, or blockage in the hose. Check and empty/replace the bag, clean the filter, and inspect the hose for obstructions.
How do I adjust the suction power?
The suction power can be adjusted by sliding the control on the handle. Slide forward for higher suction on carpets, backward for lower suction on delicate rugs.
Is the AFV30 suitable for pet hair?
Yes, the AFV30 can handle pet hair effectively. Use the upholstery brush for furniture and the main head for carpets. Clean the brush roll regularly to prevent hair tangles.
How do I replace the brush roll?
Turn off and unplug the vacuum. Remove the bottom plate of the floor head, lift out the old brush roll, and insert a new one. Ensure the belt is properly aligned, then replace the plate.
What should I do if the vacuum overheats?
If the vacuum automatically shuts off due to overheating, unplug it and let it cool for at least 30 minutes. Check for blockages and ensure the filter is clean before restarting.
Can I use the AFV30 on hardwood floors?
Yes, but switch the suction to a lower setting and use the hard floor setting on the floor head (if available) to avoid scratching. Alternatively, turn off the brush roll if your model has a switch.
Where can I purchase spare bags and filters?
Spare dust bags and HEPA filters are available online through Airflo's official website or authorized retailers. Use part numbers AFV30-BAG and AFV30-FILTER.
