SAFETY INFORMATION
- For your own safety and correct operation of the appliance, please read this manual carefully before installation and use. Always keep these instructions together with the appliance even if it is sold or transferred to third parties. Users must fully know the operation and safety features of the appliance.
• The electrical connections have to be done by a specialized technician.
- The manufacturer will not be held liable for any damages resulting from incorrect or improper installation.
- Check that the mains power supply corresponds to the one indicated on the rating plate on the product.
- WARNING: Before installing the appliance, remove the protective films (if present).
- Do not touch the appliance if your hands or body are wet.
- Ensure that the device is not exposed to atmospheric agents (rain, sun).
- Keep the packaging away from children and animals.
- Do not use adapters, multiple sockets or extension cables to connect the device.
- Do not stand on the appliance, as this may damage it.
- This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
- Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
- Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
- Connect the plug to a socket complying with current regulation, located in an accessible place.
- Means for disconnection must be incorporated in the fixed wiring in accordance with the wiring rules.
- If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
- For Class I appliances, check that the domestic power supply guarantees adequate earthing.
- Do not flambé (Fire hazard).

WARNING: Failure to install the screws or fixing device in accordance with these instructions may result in electrical hazards.
- Use only screws and small parts in support of the appliance.
- Ensure that the device is installed in a way that allows it to be disconnected from the power supply, with a contact opening distance (3mm) that ensures complete disconnection in category III overvoltage conditions.
- Do not look directly at the light through optical devices (binoculars, magnifying glasses...).

CAUTION: the appliance and its accessible parts may become hot during use with cooking appliances.
- The minimum safety distance between the cooker top and the lowest part of the range hood is 650 mm (some models may be installed at a lower height; please check the paragraph relating to working dimensions and installation).
- If the instructions for installation for the gas hob specify a greater distance, this has to be taken into account.
- Connect the extractor to the exhaust flue through a pipe of minimum diameter 120 mm. The route of the flue must be as short as possible.
- With regards to the technical and safety measures to be adopted for fume discharging, it is important to closely follow the regulations provided by the local authorities.
- There shall be adequate ventilation of the room when this appliance is used at the same time as appliances burning gas or other fuels (not applicable to appliances that only discharge the air back into the room), in order to prevent the backflow of exhaust gas.
- Clean the appliance and the filters and replace them after the specified time period (Fire hazard). See paragraph Cleaning and Maintenance...
- Regulations concerning the discharge of air have to be fulfilled.
- The air must not be discharged into a flue that is used for exhausting fumes from appliances burning gas or other fuels (not applicable to appliances that only discharge the air back into the room).
- When the cooking appliance and appliances supplied with energy other than electricity are simultaneously in operation, the negative pressure in the room must not exceed 4 Pa (4 x 10-5 bar), to prevent fumes being sucked back into the room by the cooking appliance.
- Range hoods and other cooking fume extractors may adversely affect the safe operation of appliances burning gas or other fuel (including those in other rooms) due to backflow of combustion gases. These gases can potentially result in carbon monoxide poisoning. After installation of a range hood or other cooking fume extractor, the operation of flued gas appliances should be tested by a competent person to ensure that backflow of combustion gases does not occur. • The symbol on the product or on its packaging indicates that the product
must not be disposed of with the normal domestic waste. The product must be disposed of at a specialist recycling centre for electrical and electronic components. By making sure that this product is disposed of properly, you will help prevent possible negative consequences for the
environment and for health that might result from its improper disposal. For more detailed information on how to recycle this product, please contact your local municipal offices, local waste disposal service or the shop in which the product was purchased.
USE
- The suction hood has been designed exclusively for domestic use, to eliminate kitchen odours.
- Never use the hood for purposes other than those for which it was designed.
- Never leave high flames under the hood when it is in operation.
- Adjust the intensity of the flame so that it is directed onto the bottom of the cooking pan, making sure it does not wrap around the sides.
- Deep-fryers must be kept under constant supervision when in use: the oil may catch fire if it gets too hot.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
- The activated carbon filter is neither washable nor regenerable and must be replaced approximately every 4 months of operation or more frequently in case of very intense use (W).

- The grease filters must be cleaned every 2 months of operation or more frequently in case of very intense use and can be washed in a dishwasher (Z).

- Clean the hood using a damp cloth and a neutral liquid detergent.
- For external and internal cleaning of the hood avoid alcoholic or silicone products. If the product or one of its parts is made of stainless steel, use specific non-abrasive products for cleaning and follow the lines of the satin finish during cleaning.

Determines the speed of operation:
- Motor Off.
V Speed
- Minimum speed, suitable for a particularly silent continuous air exchange, in the presence of a low level of cooking vapours.
- Average speed, suitable for most conditions of use, given the excellent ratio between the air flow treated and the sound level.
- Maximum speed, suitable to deal with the maximum cooking steam emissions, even for prolonged periods.
LIGHTING
- Please contact the Service Department to change it ("Please contact the service department to purchase it").
- Lamps in risk group 1 under IEC/EN62471 at a distance of 20cm and in exempt from risk group under IEC/EN62471 at a distance of 30cm.
