The outdoor terrperature and the signal reception icon should then be: displayed on the Weather station. Ifthis does not happen after 3 minutes, the batteries will need 1 be removed from both units and reset from step 1.
4. Inorderto ensure sufficient 868 MHz transmission however, this should under good conditions be a distance no more than 100 meters between the final position of the Weather Station and the transmiter (see notes on Mounting” and ‘868 MHz Reception’)
5. Once the remote temperature has been received and displayed on the Weather station, the DCF time (radio controlled time) code reception is autorratically started. This takes æypically between 3.5 minutes in good conditions.
Daily DCF reception is done at 02:00 and 03:00 every day. Ifthe reception at 03:00 is not 32
successful, then at 04:00 and 05:00 and 06:00 there are other tries, until one is successful. Ifthe reception at 06:00 is still not successful, then the next ty takes place at 02:00 next day.
If reception is successful the received time will override the manually set time. (Please refer also to notes on ‘DCF-77 Radio Controlled Time” and “Manual Time Setting")

WEATHER FORECAST AND TENDENCY THE WEATHER FORECASTING ICONS ‘There are 3 weather icons in the third section of LCD which can be displayed in any ofthe following corrbinations
register. However, ifthe icon displayed is a sun or raining cloud, there will be no change of icon if the weather gets any better (with sunny icon) or worse (with rainy icon) since the icons are already at their extremes.
‘The icons display weather forecasts in tenrs of geting better or worse, and not necessarily. Sunny or rainy as each icon indicates. For exarrple, ifthe current weather is cloudy and the rainy icon is displayed, it does not mean that the product is faulty because itis not raining. I sirrply. means that the air pressure has dropped and the weather is expected to get worse but not necessary rainy.
Note : ‘After setting up, readings for weather forecasts should be disregarded for the next 12-24 hours. This will allow sufficient time for the Weather Station to collect air pressure data ata constant altude and therefore result in a more accurate forecast.
Common to weather forecasting, absolute accuracy cannot be guaranteed. The weather forecasting feature is estimated to have an accuracy level of about 75% due to the varying areas. the Weather Station has been designed for use in. In areas that experience sudden changes in weather (for exarrple from sunny to rain), the Weather Station will be more accurate compared tD use in areas were the weather is stagnant most of the time (for exarrple mosty Sunny).
Ifthe Weather Station is moved tp another location significanty higher or lower than it initial
Standing point (for exarrple fromthe ground floor tn the upper floors of a house), remove the
batteries and re-insert them after about 30 seconds. By doing this, the Weather Station wäll not 44
mistake the new location as being a possible change in air-pressure when reallyitis due to the light change of altitude. Again, disregard weather forecasts for the next 12 to 24 hours as this. vill allow time for operation at a constant altitude.
THE WEATHER TENDENCY INDICATOR Working together with the weather icons are the weather tendency indicators (located on the left and right hand side of the weather icons). When the indicator points upwards, it means that the air-pressure is increasing and the weather is expected to improve, but when indicator points dounwards, the air-pressure is dropping and the weather is expected to become worse.
Taking this into account, you will see hour the weather has changed and how itis expected to change. For exarrple, if the indicator is pointing dowmwards together with cloud and sun icons, then the last noticeable change in the weather was when it was sunny (sun icon only). Therefore, the next change in the weather will be the cloud with rain icons since the indicator is pointing dounwards.
Once the weather tendency indicator has registered a change in the air pressure, it wil remain permanent visualized on the LCD.
INDOOR TEMPERATURE AND MIN/MAX RECORDS ‘The indoor temperature and indoor MIN/MAX records are displayed on the second section of the LCD.
Imdooricon—lnsan | mt 00 DOTE ms
Notes The MIN/MAX indoor temperature range is -S°C to +-38:C with 1C resolution.
OUTDOOR TEMPERATURE AND MIN/MAX RECORDS ‘The outdoor temperature and outioor MIN/MAX records are displayed on the last section of the LCD.
Note: The MIN/MAX outdoor temperature resolution is range -40%C to +60 with 1C resolution. RESETTING THE INDOOR AND OUTDDOR MIN/MAX RECORDS Hi the MIN/MAX records will be reset at the same time.
1. In normal display mode, press and hold the MIN/MAX RESET key for 3 seconds. This will resetthe indoor and outdoor MIN/MAX terperatures.
LOW BATTERY INDICATOR Low battery indicator is displayed on the LCD when the batteries require changing.
‘The Weather station should receive the temperature data within 3 minutes after setup. Ifthe
terperature data is not received 3 minutes after setting up (not successfully continuousy, the
outdoor display shows “ - "), please check the following points:
1. The distance ofthe Weather station or transmitter should be at least 1.5 to 2 meters any. fromany interfering sources such as computer monitors or TV sets.
2. Avoid positioning the Weather station ont or in the immediate prodmity of metal window frames.
3. Using other electrical products such as headphones or speakers operating on the same Signal frequency (868MHz) may prevent correct signal transmission and reception.
4. Neighbours using electrical devices operating on the 868MHZ signal frequency can also
Note: When the 868MHz signal is received correct, do not re-open the battery cover of either the transmitter or Weather station, as the batteries may spring free from the contacts and force a false reset. Should this happen accidentally then reset all units (see Setting up above) otherise transmission problems may occur.
The transmission range is about 100 m fromthe transmitter to the Weather station (in open space). However, this depends on the surrounding environment and interference levels. If no reception is possible despite the observation of these factors, all system units have to be reset (see Setting up)
POSITIONING THE TEMPERATURE STATION: ‘The Weather Station may be hung onto wall easily or free standing.
A To well mount { Choose a sheltered place. Avoid direct rain and sunshine. ll Before wall mounting, please check that the outdoor temperature values can be + received from the desired locations. 1. Fixa screw (not supplied) into the desired wall leaving the head pl extended out the by about 5m
2. Remove the stand fromthe Weather Station by puling itaway fromthe
base and hang the station onto the screw. Remember to ensure thatitlocks into place before releasing
