Frequently Asked Questions - CP-6 Gabor

How do I use the Gabor CP-6 shoe dryer?
Place damp shoes on the two shoe trees, select the desired drying time using the timer knob (30 min to 3 hours), and press the power button. The dryer will automatically shut off after the set time.
Can I dry all types of shoes?
The CP-6 is suitable for most shoe materials including leather, canvas, and synthetics. Avoid drying shoes with heat-sensitive adhesives or very delicate fabrics. Refer to the manual for specific guidance.
How long does it take to dry a pair of shoes?
Drying time depends on moisture level and shoe material. Typically, lightly damp shoes take 30-60 minutes, while heavily soaked shoes may require up to 3 hours.
Can I leave the shoe dryer unattended?
It is not recommended to leave the device unattended for extended periods. The CP-6 has an auto shut-off feature for safety, but always place it on a non-flammable surface.
How do I clean the air filter?
Unplug the device, remove the filter cover at the back, take out the foam filter, and rinse it under running water. Let it dry completely before reinserting. Clean monthly for optimal performance.
What should I do if the device stops working?
Check if the power cord is plugged in and the timer is set. If it overheats, the safety feature may have activated. Allow it to cool down for 30 minutes and try again. If issue persists, contact Gabor support.
Does the shoe dryer deodorize shoes?
Yes, the warm airflow helps reduce odors by drying the interior and inhibiting bacterial growth. For persistent smells, use the included shoe trees with deodorizing inserts (sold separately).
Can I use the dryer for gloves or other items?
The CP-6 is designed for shoes only. Using it for other items may cause uneven drying or damage. Consider a multi-purpose dryer for gloves or hats.
What is the power consumption?
The CP-6 consumes 200 watts per hour. On a 3-hour cycle, it uses 0.6 kWh. This is energy-efficient compared to tumble drying.
Where can I find replacement parts?
Replacement filters and shoe trees can be ordered through the Gabor website or authorized dealers. Use only genuine parts to ensure safety and performance.
