Frequently Asked Questions - KI5862SE0G NEFF

What is the recommended temperature for the refrigerator compartment?
The ideal temperature for the refrigerator compartment is 4 °C (39 °F). Use the electronic controls to set it between 2 °C and 8 °C.
How do I activate SuperCool and SuperFreeze modes?
Press the SuperCool button to rapidly cool the fridge; the indicator lights up. For SuperFreeze, press the SuperFreeze button to quickly freeze new items. Both functions deactivate automatically after a set time.
Why is my refrigerator making unusual noises?
Noises like gurgling, clicking, or humming are normal due to the compressor and refrigerant flow. If you hear loud knocking or buzzing, check that the appliance is level and tubes are not vibrating against each other.
How often should I clean the refrigerator?
Clean the interior every 1-2 months. Use a soft cloth with warm water and mild detergent. Avoid harsh chemicals. Clean the door seals regularly to maintain efficiency.
What does the door alarm mean?
The door alarm sounds if the fridge or freezer door is left open for more than 60 seconds. Close the door to stop the alarm. This helps save energy and maintain temperature.
How do I replace the interior light bulb?
The LED lighting is not user-serviceable. If the light fails, contact an authorized technician. Do not attempt to replace it yourself.
What should I do if the appliance does not cool properly?
Check if the doors close properly, if the vents are blocked, and if the temperature settings are correct. Also ensure the condenser coils (behind or below) are clean. If the problem persists, call service.
Can I install this refrigerator in a garage or unheated room?
The climate class SN-ST allows ambient temperatures from +10 °C to +38 °C. Do not use in rooms below 10 °C, as the compressor may not start.
How do I defrost the freezer compartment?
The freezer has No Frost technology, so manual defrosting is not required. If ice builds up, check that the door seals are intact and the door is closed properly.
Where can I find spare parts and service?
Spare parts are available from Neff authorized dealers or online. Use the model number KI5862SE0G to find correct parts. For repairs, contact an authorized Neff service centre.
