Frequently Asked Questions - M13R42N2 NEFF

What are the dimensions of the NEFF M13R42N2 cooker?
The standard dimensions are approximately 60 cm wide, 85 cm high, and 60 cm deep. For exact measurements, please refer to the product manual or measure your available space.
How do I use the pyrolytic self-cleaning function?
Remove all accessories and larger food residues. Select the Pyrolytic function on the control panel and confirm. The oven will heat to around 500°C, turning residues to ash. After cooling, simply wipe the ash with a damp cloth.
Can I replace the oven light myself?
Yes, the oven light can be replaced. Ensure the cooker is disconnected from power. Remove the glass cover by twisting or prying it off, replace the bulb with a suitable halogen type (e.g., G9 25W), and reassemble.
What type of hob does the M13R42N2 have?
It is equipped with a ceramic or induction hob (depending on version) with four cooking zones. The zones are marked on the surface and have a residual heat indicator.
Is the cooker compatible with a 13A plug?
No, this cooker typically requires a hardwired connection to a 32A (or 45A) supply via a dedicated circuit. A qualified electrician should install it. Do not use a standard plug.
How do I set the automatic shut-off timer on the oven?
Press the timer button, then use the + and - buttons to set the cooking time. The oven will switch off automatically when the timer reaches zero. An audible signal will sound.
What should I do if the hob does not heat up?
Check that the cooker is properly connected to the mains and that the child lock is not activated. If using induction, ensure the pan is compatible. Residual heat indicators should light up when zones are hot. If issues persist, contact NEFF service.
Can I install the cooker under a worktop?
The NEFF M13R42N2 is a freestanding cooker and is not designed for under-worktop installation. It should be placed with adequate clearance around it, away from combustible materials.
How do I clean the oven door glass?
For regular cleaning, use a mild glass cleaner and a soft cloth. Avoid abrasive pads. If you have pyrolytic cleaning, the door glass can be wiped after the cycle. For stubborn dirt, remove the door following the manual instructions.
Where can I find spare parts and accessories?
Spare parts are available through the NEFF official website or authorized service centers. Use the model number M13R42N2 to order correct parts. Accessories such as baking trays and grill pans are sold separately.

3 Environmental protection and saving energy

3.1 Disposing of packaging

The packaging materials are environmentally compatible and can be recycled.

- Sort the individual components by type and dispose of them separately.

3.2 Saving energy

If you follow these instructions, your appliance will use less energy.

Select the cooking zone to match the size of your pan. Centre the cookware on the hob.

Use cookware whose base diameter is the same diameter as the hotplate.

Tip: Cookware manufacturers often give the upper diameter of the saucepan. It is often larger than the base diameter.

√ Unsuitable cookware or incompletely covered cooking zones consume a lot of energy.

Cover saucepans with suitable lids.

√ Cooking without a lid consumes considerably more energy.

Lift lids as infrequently as possible.

- When you lift the lid, a lot of energy escapes.

Using a glass lid

- You can see into the pan through a glass lid without having to lift it.

Use pots and pans with flat bases.

- Uneven bases increase energy consumption.

Use cookware that is suitable for the quantity of food.

√ Large items of cookware containing little food need more energy to heat up.

Cook with only a little water.

√ The more water there is in the cookware, the more energy that is required to heat it up.

Turn down to a lower power level early on.

√ If you use an ongoing power level that is too high, you will waste energy.

Take advantage of the hob's residual heat. With longer cooking times switch off the hotplate 5-10 minutes before the end of cooking.

- Unused residual heat increases energy consumption.
