Frequently Asked Questions - DPS 7343 X BEKO

How do I reverse the door on my Beko DPS 7343 X dryer?
The door is reversible. You need to unscrew the hinge covers, remove the door, swap the latch and hinge brackets, and reattach the door on the opposite side. Refer to the manual for step-by-step instructions.
What does the 'Clean Filter' indicator mean?
It means the lint filter is clogged. Clean the filter under running water and dry it before restarting the dryer. A blocked filter reduces efficiency and may cause overheating.
How often should I clean the condenser?
Clean the condenser every 30 cycles or when the 'Clean Condenser' light illuminates. Remove the condenser unit from the bottom panel, rinse it with water, and reinsert after drying.
Why is the dryer not heating?
Possible causes: tripped circuit breaker, faulty thermostat, or blocked condenser. First check the household fuse and reset. If that fails, inspect the condenser and filter for blockages. If still no heat, contact Beko service.
Can I stack my Beko washer on top of this dryer?
Yes, you can stack a compatible Beko washer (front-load) using a stacking kit. Ensure the dryer is securely mounted and the kit supports the combined weight. Check the manual for compatible models.
My dryer stops mid-cycle. What could be wrong?
This may be due to overheating, overloading, or a clogged filter. Let the dryer cool down, clean the filter and condenser, and reduce the load size. If the problem persists, check for error codes on the display.
What is the delay start function and how do I use it?
Delay start allows you to set the dryer to begin drying up to 9 hours later. Press the delay start button repeatedly until the desired delay appears. Confirm by pressing start. This is useful to avoid running the dryer during peak electricity hours.
How do I prevent clothes from shrinking?
Use the correct program for fabric type. For delicate items, select low heat or special 'Gentle' program. Do not over-dry; remove clothes while slightly damp for natural drying. Always check care labels.
What does error code E01 mean?
E01 indicates a problem with the moisture sensor. Clean the sensor strips inside the drum with a damp cloth. If the error persists, the sensor may need replacement by a qualified technician.
How do I clean the drum?
Run a 'Drum Clean' program (if available) or a cotton cycle at 90°C with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Wipe the drum inside after. Regular cleaning prevents odor and bacterial buildup.

BEKO DPS 7343 X - Program selection and consumption table - 3

The "Cotton cupboard dry programme" used at full and partial load is the standard drying programme to which the information on the label and the fiche relates. This programme is suitable for drying normal wet cotton laundry and is the most efficient programme in terms of energy consumption for cotton.

* : Energy Label standard program (EN 61121:2012)

All values in the table are determined according to the EN 61121:2012 standard. Consumption values may vary from the values in the table depending on laundry type, wringing revolution, ambient conditions, and changes in voltage.

  2. Select the drying program.
  3. Press the end duration selection button and set the delay duration you want.

End duration LED lights up. (End duration moves continuously when you keep pressing the button).

  1. Press the Start / Pause button. The end duration countdown begins. The ":" sign in the middle of the displayed delay duration blinks.

BEKO DPS 7343 X - End duration - 1

You can add or remove laundry during the end duration. The duration displayed on the screen is the sum of the normal drying duration and the end duration. At the end of the countdown, the end duration LED turns off, drying begins, and the drying LED lights up.

Changing the end duration

If you want to change the duration during the countdown:

  1. Cancel the program by pressing the On/Off button. Turn on the drying machine again by pressing the On/Off button. When your drying machine turns on for the first time, it turns on with the declaration (cotton wardrobe dryness) program.

BEKO DPS 7343 X - Adding and removing laundry in stand-by mode - 1

Adding laundry after the drying operation has started may cause the dried laundry inside the machine to mix with the wet laundry, and the laundry may remain damp after the operation ends.

BEKO DPS 7343 X - Adding and removing laundry in stand-by mode - 2

Laundry can be added or removed as many times as desired during the drying operation. However, this process would continuously interrupt the drying operation, which would lengthen the program duration and increase energy consumption. Therefore, it is recommended to add laundry before the program starts.

BEKO DPS 7343 X - Adding and removing laundry in stand-by mode - 3

If a new program is selected by changing the position of the program selection knob while the machine is in stand-by mode, the running program ends.

BEKO DPS 7343 X - Adding and removing laundry in stand-by mode - 4

Do not touch the inner surface of the drum when adding or removing laundry during a running program. The drum surface is hot.

6 Maintenance and cleaning

The service life of the product extends and frequently encountered problems are reduced if it is cleaned at regular intervals.

6.1 Cleaning the lint filter / loading door inner surface

Lint and fibers released from the laundry into the air during the drying cycle are collected in the lint filter.

BEKO DPS 7343 X - Cleaning the lint filter / loading door inner surface - 1Such fiber and lint are generally formed during wearing and washing.
BEKO DPS 7343 X - Cleaning the lint filter / loading door inner surface - 2Always clean the lint filter and the inner surfaces of the loading door after each drying process.
BEKO DPS 7343 X - Cleaning the lint filter / loading door inner surface - 3You can clean the lint filter housing with a vacuum cleaner.

To clean the lint filter:

  • Open the loading door.
  • Remove the lint filter by pulling it up and open it.
  • Clean lint, fibers, and cotton raveling by hand or with a soft cloth.

6.2 Cleaning the sensor

There are dampness sensors in the dryer that detect whether the laundry is dry or not.

To clean the sensors:

  • Open the loading door of the dryer.
  • Allow the machine to cool down if it is still hot due to the drying process.
  • Wipe the metal surfaces of the sensor with a soft cloth, dampened with vinegar, and dry them.
BEKO DPS 7343 X - Cleaning the sensor - 1Clean metal surfaces of the sensors 4 times a year.
BEKO DPS 7343 X - Cleaning the sensor - 2Do not use metal tools when cleaning metal surfaces of the sensors.

6.3 Draining the water tank

Dampness of the laundry is removed and condensed during the drying process, and the water that arises accumulates in the water tank. Drain the water tank after each drying cycle.

BEKO DPS 7343 X - Draining the water tank - 1

Condensed water is not drinkable!

Never remove the water tank when the program is running!

If you forget to drain the water tank, the machine will stop during the subsequent drying cycles when the water tank is full and the Water Tank warning symbol will flash. If this is the case, drain the water tank and press the Start / Pause button to resume the drying cycle. To drain the water tank: Pull the drawer and remove the water tank carefully.

If the direct water draining option is used, there is no need to empty the water tank.

6.4 Cleaning the filter drawer

Lint and fiber that could not be captured by the lint filter are blocked in the filter drawer behind the kick plate. The Filter Drawer Cleaning warning light will light up at most every 5 drying cycles as a reminder. There is a two-level filter in the filter drawer. The first level is the filter drawer sponge and the second level is the filter cloth.

Drying without the filter drawer sponge in place will damage the machine!
A dirty lint filter and filter drawer will cause longer drying periods and higher energy consumption.

6.5 Cleaning the evaporator

Clean the lint accumulated on the fins of the evaporator located behind the filter drawer with a vacuum cleaner.

You can also clean by hand provided that you wear protective gloves. Do not attempt to clean with bare hands. Evaporator fins can harm your hand.
