The term "drum braces" refers to the transport braces which are fixed structures located at the back or on the sides of the washing machine to protect the drum during transport.
To check that the transport braces have been properly removed:
- Look at the back of the machine, where the two hoses (water inlet and drain) are located - the transport braces are usually at the top or on the sides of the back panel
- Look for bolts or hooks that hold the braces in place
- Once these braces are removed, you should see empty holes or protective covers (plastic pieces that block the holes)
- If you hear an abnormal noise or excessive vibrations during spinning, it is a sign that the braces have not been properly removed
The complete washing machine manual contains accurate illustrations showing the exact location of these braces. If in doubt, consult the PDF of the manual in the viewer above.
