Frequently Asked Questions - Serie | 2 DHU30SFSK BOSCH

What is the installation height above a gas hob?
The minimum distance between the hob and the cooker hood should be 65 cm for gas hobs, and 55 cm for electric hobs. Always check local regulations.
How do I clean the grease filter?
Remove the aluminum grease filter and wash it by hand in warm soapy water or in a dishwasher (at low temperature). Allow it to dry completely before reinserting.
Can the hood be used in recirculation mode?
Yes, you can use the hood in recirculation mode by installing an optional charcoal filter (not included). This is recommended when ducting to the outside is not possible.
How often should I replace the charcoal filter?
The charcoal filter should be replaced every 4 to 6 months, or more frequently if the hood is used heavily. A saturated filter reduces efficiency.
What type of lighting does the hood use?
The DHU30SFSK is equipped with 2 x 20W halogen bulbs. They can be replaced by the user. Always use bulbs of the same type and rating.
Is the hood noisy?
Noise level varies by speed: approximately 50 dB at low speed and up to 62 dB at maximum speed. These are normal levels for a cooker hood of this class.
What are the dimensions of the hood?
The dimensions are approximately 140 mm in height, 600 mm in width, and 500 mm in depth. Ensure your cabinet space matches these measurements.
How do I reset the filter saturation indicator?
After cleaning or replacing the filters, press and hold the filter reset button (if available) for 3 seconds until the indicator light goes off. Refer to the manual for your specific model.
Can I install the hood myself?
Installation should be performed by a qualified technician to ensure proper electrical connection and secure mounting. The hood must be installed according to manufacturer instructions.
Why is the hood not extracting properly?
Check if the grease filter is clogged, the charcoal filter (if used) needs replacement, or the duct is blocked. Also ensure the hood is installed at the correct height and the room is adequately ventilated.

A. Knob for regulating the speed of the fan motor. B. Push button function for lighting.

It is a good idea to turn on the fan before starting to cook, as this prevents odours from spreading into the room. Adjust the speed of the fan depending on the type of food you are preparing. Preferably allow the fan to run on low speed for a while after cooking. If needed, also use the fan's low speed when the oven is in use, or after using the dishwasher.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

Cleaning

The cooker fan should be cleaned with a damp cloth and washing-up liquid. The filter must be cleaned approximately twice a month, with normal usage. Both the filter and the impeller can be removed when cleaning.

Remove the filter cassette by pressing on the clips on the front edge. Dismantle the filter cartridge and remove the filter cloth by loosening the retainer, Fig. 6. Squeeze the filter cloth in warm water mixed with washing-up liquid. The filter cassette (with filter) can also be washed in the dishwasher.

The interior of the cooker hood should be cleaned at least twice a year. Remove the suction ring and then pull the impeller from the motor, Fig. 7. Wipe the interior with a damp cloth and washing-up liquid. The impeller and suction ring can be washed in a dishwasher or soaked in washing-up liquid. The impeller and suction ring can be pressed back in place after cleaning. Replace the filter cassette and press it upwards so that it clicks into place.

Changing the fluorescent tube
