How do I reset the TV to factory settings?
Go to Menu > Setup > System Menu > Factory Default. Confirm with OK. The TV will restart.
Why is there no picture but sound is working?
Check if the input source is correct. Ensure the connected device is powered on. Try a different HDMI cable or port. If still no picture, the panel may be defective.
Can I connect Wi-Fi to this TV?
This model does not have built-in Wi-Fi. You can use a Panasonic USB Wi-Fi adapter (e.g., DY-WL10) to enable wireless internet connectivity.
How do I update the firmware?
Download the latest firmware from the Panasonic support website to a USB drive. Insert the USB into the TV, go to Menu > Setup > System Menu > System Update > USB Update.
The remote control is not working. What should I do?
Replace the batteries with fresh ones. Point the remote directly at the TV sensor. Check for obstructions. If still not working, the remote may be faulty.
How do I enable Game Mode?
Press the VIERA Tools button on the remote, select Game Mode, and set it to On. This reduces input lag for gaming.
What is the recommended viewing distance?
For a 50-inch plasma TV, the recommended viewing distance is approximately 2 to 3 meters (6.5 to 10 feet) for optimal experience.
How do I clean the screen?
Turn off the TV and unplug it. Use a soft, dry microfiber cloth to gently wipe the screen. Do not use any liquids or abrasive cleaners.
The TV emits a buzzing sound. Is that normal?
A slight buzzing sound is normal for plasma TVs due to electrical components. If the sound is loud or changes, consult a technician.
How do I connect external speakers?
Use the Audio Out port (usually a 3.5mm headphone jack or RCA) to connect to external speakers. You may need an adapter. Go to Menu > Sound and disable internal speakers if desired.

Maintenance

First, remove the mains plug from the socket outlet.

Display panel, Cabinet, Pedestal

Regular care:

Gently wipe the surface of the display panel, cabinet, or pedestal by using a soft cloth to clean the dirt or fingerprints.

For stubborn dirt:

First clean the dust on the surface. Dampen a soft cloth with clean water or diluted neutral detergent (1 part detergent to 100 parts water). Wring the cloth and wipe the surface. Finally, wipe away all the moisture.

Caution

  • Do not use a hard cloth or rub the surface too hard, otherwise this may cause scratches on the surface. Take care not to subject the TV's surfaces to water or detergent. Liquid inside the TV could lead to product failure.
  • Take care not to subject the surfaces to insect repellent, solvent, thinner or other volatile substances. This may degrade surface quality or cause peeling of the paint.
  • The surface of the display panel is specially treated and may be easily damaged. Take care not to tap or scratch the surface with your fingernail or other hard objects.
  • Do not allow the cabinet and pedestal to make contact with a rubber or PVC substance for a long time. This may degrade surface quality.

Mains plug

Wipe the mains plug with a dry cloth at regular intervals. Moisture and dust may lead to fire or electrical shock.
