How to replace the bag of the Samsung SC5345 vacuum cleaner?

To replace the bag, open the compartment at the front of the vacuum cleaner. Remove the full bag by pulling it by its closure cardboard. Insert a new compatible Samsung bag (ref. VCA-SAE95) by pushing the cardboard until it clicks. Close the compartment.

How to clean the HEPA filter of my SC5345?

The HEPA filter is located under the exhaust grille or in the rear compartment. Remove it and tap gently to remove dust. You can wash it with warm water (no detergent) once per quarter. Let it dry for 24 hours before putting it back.

My vacuum cleaner loses suction, what to do?

First check if the bag is full or the filter is clogged. Then inspect the hose and tubes for a blockage. Unplug the device and remove obstructions using a non-metallic object.

Where can I download the user manual for the Samsung SC5345?

What type of bag to use for the SC5345?

Use disposable bags of micro-filter or anti-allergen type, reference Samsung VCA-SAE95 or equivalent. The bag has a capacity of 3.5 liters.

How to use the turbo brush?

The turbo brush attaches to the end of the tube or directly to the hose. It is ideal for carpets and rugs: it removes pet hair and embedded fibers thanks to its rotating brush.

The cable does not retract completely, what to do?

Unplug the vacuum cleaner and manually pull a few centimeters of cable before pressing the rewind pedal. If the problem persists, check that there is no knot or obstacle.

How to clean the vacuum cleaner tank?

The tank cannot be cleaned: it holds the disposable bag. Be sure to change the bag regularly to avoid bad odors.

My vacuum cleaner makes an abnormal noise, is it serious?

An unusual noise may come from an object stuck in the brush, tube, or hose. Unplug the device and inspect each component. If the noise persists, contact Samsung after-sales service.

Can I use an extension cord?

Yes, but use an extension cord of sufficient cross-section (minimum 1.5 mm²) and fully unrolled to avoid overheating. The power of the vacuum cleaner is 2000 W.

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

1. Read all instructions carefully. Before switching on, make sure that the voltage of your electricity supply is the same as that indicated on the rating plate on the bottom of the cleaner.

2. WARNING : Do not use the vacuum cleaner when rug or floor is wet.

Do not use to suck up water.

1. This appliance is not intended for use by young children or infirm persons unless they have been adequately supervised by a responsible person to ensure that they can use the appliance safely. Young children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

2. Do not use the vacuum cleaner without the dust bag. Empty the dust bag before it is full in order to maintain the best efficiency.

3. Slide to the Stop (or Min)position before inserting a plug into the electrical outlet.

4. Do not use the vacuum cleaner to pick up matches, live ashes or cigarette butts. Keep the vacuum cleaner away from stoves and other heat sources. Heat can deform and discolour the plastic parts of the unit.

5. Avoid picking up hard, sharp objects with the vacuum cleaner as they may damage the cleaner parts. Do not stand on the hose assembly. Do not put a weight on the hose. Do not block the suction or the exhaustion part.

6. Switch the vacuum cleaner off at the machine before unplugging from the electrical outlet. Grasp the plug to disconnect cord from the electrical outlet before caring the dust bag and filters.

7. The plug must be removed from the socket outlet before cleaning or maintaining the appliance.

8. The use of an extension cord is not recommended.

9. If your vacuum cleaner is not operating correctly, switch off the power supply and consult an authorized service agent.

10. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.

11. The vacuum cleaner is provided with a self-resetting thermal cut-out protection which automatically shut off current on over heating. Overheating can be caused by blockage in the filter, nozzle, tube or hose. After removing the cause and cooling the motor, vacuum cleaner automatically start again.

OPTION	Clogs on turbine keeps brush from turning, and in this case, take care of it.
	Remove waste matter completely when inlet is blocked.	Turn the lock button to ‘UNLOCK’, and remove waste matter.	To reassemble, align the cover to the front of the main body and close. After closing the cover, ensure that the lock button is turned to the ‘LOCK’ position.
Brush for blanket	Warning: Use for bedclothes only. Be cautious not to damage brush during unclogging.

3 DUST FULL INDICATOR

If the "DUST FULL" indicator turns to red color while you are cleaning, the dust bag requires replacement

NOTE : If the "DUST FULL" indicator continues to display red color even after having changed bag into new one, turn the cleaner off and check if there is any clogging in the hose, tube, floor nozzle, or on the inlet /outlet filter.

PROBLEM CAUSE	REMEDY
Motor does not start.	No power supply. Thermal cut-out.	Check cable, plug and socket.Leave to cool.
Suction force is gradually decreasing.	Nozzle, suction hose or tube is blocked.	Remove the object and change the dust-bag.
Cord does not rewind fully.	Check that the cord is not twisted or wound unevenly.	Pull the cord out 2-3m and push down the cord rewind button.
Vacuum cleaner does not pick up dirt.	Crack or hole in hose.	Check hose and replace if required.
