IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

• Please read this instruction manual carefully before connecting your kettle to the power supply, in order to avoid damage due to incorrect use. Please pay particular attention to the safety information.
  • Incorrect operation and improper handling can lead to malfunctions of the appliance and injuries to the user.
  • For home use only. Do not use for industrial purposes.
  • Unplug the appliance from power supply when not in use.
• Keep the base unit away from moisture and protect it from splashes.

• Do not immerse the appliance, cord or plug into water or other liquids. If it has happened, disconnect the plug from the power supply immediately and then have the unit checked by an expert before using it again.

• Do not operate the appliance if the cord or plug show signs of damage or if the appliance has been otherwise damaged. In such cases take the appliance to a specialist for checking and repair if necessary.

• Ensure that the cord does not hang over sharp edges and keep it away from hot surfaces.
  • Only pull it out of the power supply by the plug, not by the cord.
• Place the appliance on a stable flat and heat-resistant surface, away from hot objects (e.g. hotplates), open flame; do not place under curtains or low wall-cupboards.

BEFORE USE

• Remove all packing material from the kettle.
  • Before connecting of the kettle check that voltage indicated on the rating label corresponds with the mains voltage in your home.
• Place the filter.
• Wash the kettle with soap, rinse it thoroughly, fill it with cool water up to the "MAX" mark, boil it and empty 2-3 times. The appliance is ready for use.

INSTRUCTION FOR USE

FILTER PLACING

• Open the lid by pressing the lid open button.
• Place the filter between two grooves near the spout at the front of the kettle.
• Ensure that the filter is pressed down to the bottom of the grooves and fits correctly then close the lid.
  NOTE: Never leave the filter loose in the kettle. Never remove the filter while the kettle contains hot water.

FILLING

• Remove the kettle from the base unit.
• You can fill the kettle with water via the spout or opening the lid, by pressing the lid open button.
• Do not fill the kettle below "MIN" mark to prevent the heating element running dry while operating.
• Do not fill the kettle above "MAX" mark. Avoid overfilling to prevent the water spilling out during the boiling process.

SWITCHING ON

• After filling your kettle with water, place it on the base unit.
- Connect the plug to power supply and press On/Off switch, the light indicator will switch on automatically. The appliance will begin to operate.

SWITCHING OFF

- When the water boils, the kettle will switch off automatically and the operation light indicator will go off.

NOTE: This appliance has a safety system, which automatically switches off the heating element if the appliance is inadvertently switched when empty, or if it boils dry. In this case, let the appliance cool down completely, before filling with water again.

SWITCHING ON AGAIN

• The kettle can be switched on again after cooling down for about 15-20 seconds, while the kettle has been switched off automatically.

KEEP WARM FUNCTION

• The kettle is equipped with keep warm function which allows maintaining warm temperature of water.
NOTE: Water cannot be boiled with the help of this function.
• Fill the kettle with cool water up to the MAX mark. Press the On / Off switch. The operation light indicator will switch on automatically.
- Press the keep warm button, the keep warm light indicator will switch on automatically.
- When the water boils, the kettle will switch off automatically, i.e. the heater will stop working and the operation light indicator will go off. The kettle will be in keep warm mode and keep warm light indicator will be on. (or you can boil water at first, then press keep warm button)
- When water temperature decreases to around 75^ , the heater will start working, the operation light indicator will switch on and water temperature will rise.
- When water temperature rises to about 85^ , the heater will stop working, the operation light indicator will go off and the kettle will return to keep warm mode again.
• In order to switch off this function, press the keep warm button again. The keep warm indicator will go off.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

DESCALING

• Always remove the plug from the power supply before cleaning and let the appliance cool down completely.
- Clean the outside of the kettle and the base unit with a soft damp cloth, then wipe with a dry cloth. Do not use scouring materials.
• Make cleaning the kettle from the scale regularly. Use special cleaners agent, which can be obtained from specialist shops and follow the instructions given.
• Before switching on the kettle make sure, that the outside surface of the appliance and all electric contacts are absolutely dry.

FILTER CLEANING

• Remove the filter out of the kettle.
• Place it under tap water and rub gently any remaining by soft brush (not included).
• Replace the filter between two grooves near the spout at the front of the kettle.
