This manual is an integral part of the appliance and must be carefully read before use since it contains important information on the safety, installation, use and maintenance. Keep in a safe place.

• After removing the package, make sure the appliance is undamaged. - Do not leave parts of package (carton, box) within reach of children or persons with reduced mental capacities, since these are potential sources of danger. - This appliance was exclusively designed for domestic use as kitchen scales. Any other use is considered improper. - TERMOZETA cannot be held responsible for any damage caused by improper, incorrect and negligent use. - Contact a service centre authorised by the company for any repairs and ask for original spare parts. - If you decide to no longer use the appliance, make any dangerous parts harmless, especially for children who may use the appliance to play with. - To dispose of the appliance and the batteries, please follow the regulations in force in your town.

BATTERY INSERTION AND REPLACEMENT

To replace the battery, please proceed as follows:

  • Remove the cover of the battery compartment (2), which is located under the appliance; take out the flat battery.
  • Insert the new battery, observing the polarity. Then close the cover.

IMPORTANT!

Used batteries must be disposed of carefully. Please follow the regulations in force in your town. If the scales are not used for a long time, we recommend removing the battery.

SCALES OPERATION

  • Rest the scales on a flat and stable surface.
  • If necessary, place the bowl where the food must be weighed on the scales before turning on the appliance.
  • Press and release the ON/OFF key (e) to turn on the appliance.

When the appliance is turned on, the display appears as shown in the picture beside.

After about 3 seconds, the value "0" is displayed and the scales are ready to weigh.

Proceed with the weighing operation.

SUGGESTIONS

Any container can be used for weighing operations, or it is also possible to rest the weight directly on the scales plate (4).

If you are using a container, remember to position it on the scales plate (4) before turning on the appliance so that the weight reference will be zero when the appliance is turned on.

WEIGHT UNIT CONVERSION

The scales include both metric (kilograms, grams) and Imperial systems (pounds, ounces). You can press the g/oz key (d) to convert between the two systems during the weighing operation.

"TARE" FUNCTION

To weigh different loads consecutively without removing them from the bowl or from the scales plate (4), put the first load on the plate and read the weight. Press the TARE key (a) to reset the reading of the display (c) before adding the next load. It is possible to repeat this operation. It is also possible to use the "TARE" function to reset the weight of a container. In this case, turn on the scales, put an empty container on the scales plate (4) and press the TARE key (a). The display is reset and, once the food has been placed on the scales, will show its weight.

Every tare value is shown as a negative number once the corresponding weight has been removed from the appliance. Pressing the TARE key (a), the display will show "0" again.

"HOLD" FUNCTION

To use this function proceed as follows:

  • Press the ON/OFF key (e) to turn on the scales.
  • Put the load on the scales.
  • Press the HOLD key (b).
  • The scales will show the detected weight for 5 seconds. To reset the value, press the HOLD key (b) again.

WARNING INDICATORS

1) Overload

If the weight of the loads is higher than the maximum capacity of the scales (5 kg), "OL" (overload) will appear on the display. Remove the load immediately to allow the scales to work normally.

2) Flat battery

When the battery is flat, the display shows the battery symbol.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
