USER MANUAL Curl & Dry AS404 REMINGTON
Thank you for buying your new Remington® product. Please read these instructions carefully and keep them safe. Remove all packaging before use.
WARNING: This appliance is hot. Keep out of reach of children at all times.
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
1 Warning – for additional protection the installation of a residual current device (RCD) with a rated residual operating current not exceeding 30mA is advisable in the electrical circuit supplying the bathroom. Ask an electrician for advice.
2 This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been supervised/instructed and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be done by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised. Keep the appliance and cable out of reach of children under 8 years.
3 Always ensure the voltage to be used corresponds to the voltage stated on the unit before plugging the appliance into the mains socket.
4 Warning: Do not use this appliance near bathtubs, showers, basins or other vessels containing water.

6 For UK, Household Use Only. Currently, the fitting in a bathroom of an electrical socket suitable or capable of operating the dryer/straightener is not permitted (see BS7671).
7 When the appliance is used in a bathroom, unplug it after use since the proximity of water presents a hazard even when the appliance is switched off.
8 Do not wrap the cord around the unit. Check the cord regularly for any sign damage.
9 If the supply cord of this unit becomes damaged, discontinue use immediately and return the appliance to your nearest authorised Remington® service dealer for repair or replacement in order to avoid a hazard.
10 Do not use the appliance if it is damaged or malfunctions.
11 Do not allow any part of the appliance touch the face, neck or scalp.
12 Keep direct airflow away from eyes or other sensitive areas.

13 During use, always ensure the inlet and outlet grilles are not blocked in any way as this will cause the unit to automatically stop. If this should occur, switch off and allow the unit to cool.
14 Ensure the inlet grille is free from obstructions such as fluff, loose hair etc.
15 Do not leave the appliance unattended while plugged in.
16 Do not set the appliance down while still on.
17 Do not place the appliance on any soft furnishings.
18 Do not use attachments other than those we supply.
19 This appliance is not intended for commercial or salon use.
20 Let the attachments cool before removing.
21 Let the appliance cool down before cleaning and storing away.

PRODUCT FEATURES
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
1 Wash and condition your hair as normal.
2 Squeeze out excess moisture with a towel and comb through.
* Hairsprays contain flammable material – do not use while using this product.
3 Select your attachment before you turn on the appliance.
4 Attachments can be connected to the power handle by unscrewing the attachment cap (6), sliding the brush onto the inner support and securing by screwing back on the attachment cap.
5 Plug the product into the mains power supply.
6 To turn the product on slide the speed/heat setting switch to position 'I'
7 Dry roots completely and dry length 90% dry, ready for styling.
8 Section the hair prior to styling. Style the lower layers first.
9 The 25mm thermal bristle brush adds volume to your roots. It can also create looser curls and waves.
10 The 19mm round brush creates small curls and flicks to short and medium layered hair.
11 Select the desired temperature and speed setting using the switch on the handle.
12 To increase the setting slide the heat/speed setting switch to position 'll'
13 For all brush attachments: Take a section of hair and place the ends around the brush. Rotate the stylister allowing the hair to wrap around the barrel of the brush drying and styling as you go.
14 To release the hair when curled around the brush attachments press the curl release button to allow the brush to rotate freely.
15 Allow the hair to cool before styling.
16 Let the attachments cool before removing.
17 To remove the attachments unscrew the attachment cap and slide off the inner support.
18 To turn the appliance off slide the heat/speed setting switch to the '0' position.
19 After use, turn the appliance off and unplug.
20 Let the appliance cool down before cleaning and storing away.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
important to regularly remove any dust and dirt from the air filter grille and clean with a soft brush.
