Can I connect more than 4 screens using multiple splitters daisy chained?

Yes, the B203-104-PNP supports daisy chaining up to 3 levels, allowing up to 64 screens total (4^3). Simply connect the output of one splitter to the input of the next.

Does the device require external power?

Yes, the splitter must be powered by the included 5V DC power adapter. Without power, it will not function.

What cables should I use to connect my devices?

Use standard VGA cables (HD15 male) for input and outputs. The recommended maximum length is 30 m for the input cable and 5 m for each output cable to avoid signal loss.

Does the splitter support audio sound?

No, the B203-104-PNP is a VGA video splitter only. It does not transmit audio signal. For audio, you must use a separate connection.

How to install the Tripp Lite B203-104-PNP?

Connect the VGA cable from your source to the input port (IN), then connect your screens to the output ports (OUT). Finally, plug the power adapter into the splitter and into a power outlet. No driver is needed (Plug and Play).

Why is my screen showing no image?

First check that the device is powered (the LED indicator should be lit). Make sure all cables are properly connected and that the video source is turned on. Try lowering the source resolution if it exceeds 1920x1440.

Does the splitter work with a non-supplied power adapter?

It is strongly recommended to use only the provided power adapter (5V DC). A non-compliant adapter could damage the device.

What is the maximum distance between the splitter and the screens?

For optimal quality, do not exceed 5 m between each splitter output and the screen. Beyond that, use active VGA extenders.

Can I use this splitter with a laptop?

Yes, as long as your laptop has a VGA output. Most recent laptops require a USB-C to VGA or HDMI to VGA adapter.

Installation

Note: Test to make sure the entire installation works properly before pulling cables through ceilings or walls.

1. Connect the built-in USB cable on the transmitter to an available USB port on your computer.
2. Connect the RJ45 ports on the transmitter and receiver with Cat5e/6 cable.
   Note: The distance between the transmitter and receiver must be no longer than 164 ft. (50 m).
3. Connect the external power supply to the receiver and plug it into a Surge Protector, Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) or Power Distribution Unit (PDU).
4. Connect a USB device to each available port on the receiver.
