Frequently Asked Questions - Daily ARGO

How do I turn on the ARGO Daily heated blanket?
First, unfold the blanket completely and connect the control unit to the blanket via the gilded contacts. Plug the power cord into a 230V/50Hz socket. Set the side switch on the control (1) to ON. The power LED will light up. Then press the temperature key (2) to set desired heat level.
What are the temperature settings and how do I adjust them?
The blanket has 5 heat levels: minimum (1 LED), low (2 LEDs), medium (3 LEDs), high (4 LEDs), and maximum (5 LEDs). Press the temperature key (2) repeatedly to cycle through levels. After 1 hour at maximum, it automatically drops to minimum to prevent overheating.
How does the timer work?
Press the time set key (3) repeatedly to set operation hours. Each press increases the timer: 1 press = 1 hour, 2 = 2, 3 = 3, etc., up to 8 hours (every press cycles through a pattern; refer to manual for exact LED mapping). The blanket will turn off after the set time.
Can I cancel the timer and temperature settings?
Yes, press the cancel key (4) to reset all timer and temperature settings. Then you can reconfigure as desired.
What do flashing LEDs mean?
Flashing LEDs indicate that the control is not properly connected to the blanket. First, press the cancel key (4) to stop flashing. If they continue, unplug the blanket and check the power cord for damage. If still flashing, stop use and contact a qualified service center.
How should I clean the electric blanket?
Always unplug and let the blanket cool completely. The control must be removed and never immersed. For the blanket: hand-wash or machine-wash on delicate cycle at max 40°C with mild detergent. Do not dry clean, bleach, tumble dry, or iron. Hang to dry naturally, fully open. Do not use pegs or hair dryer.
Is the blanket safe to use overnight?
The blanket is equipped with a safety system that automatically reduces to minimum heat after 1 hour at maximum. For prolonged use, it is recommended to set the control to the minimum setting. Always follow the safety instructions: do not leave unattended, keep control on top of blanket, and unplug when not in use.
Can I use this blanket with an extension cord?
It is not advisable to use extension cords as they may overheat and cause fire risk. Do not use a single extension cord for more than one blanket. Always plug directly into a wall socket.
What should I do if the blanket gets damp or wet?
Do not touch the wet blanket. Immediately pull out the plug. Wait until the blanket dries completely before reusing. Do not operate the blanket while damp or wet, and do not use a hair dryer to dry it.
How should I store the blanket when not in use for a long time?
Ensure the blanket is completely cool and dry. Disconnect the control and fold the blanket loosely (not tightly). Store it in its original box in a cool, dry place. Avoid placing heavy objects on top.

A. Heating surface.
B. Control with switch, to be connected to the electrical contacts on the underblanket and power cord. The single version has a single control only, while the double version has two controls that allow for separately controlling the heating of the two zones (maximum power 60 W per zone).
C. Gilded anti-rust electrical contacts.

HOW TO USE THE ELECTRIC OVERBLANKET

Daily is designed for use as a heating blanket placed over the bed or as a shawl for personal use in any location. It may not be placed between the mattress and bedsheet.

The control must be within the user's reach, on top of the blanket itself, for ease of use without impeding the user's movements, and never underneath the user.

  1. Unfold the blanket completely: when folded on itself, as this may damage the fabrics.
  2. Make sure the power socket is close enough to the position in which the blanket is to be used to enable the control to be hooked up and used conveniently, and without the power cord being a hazard (risk of persons tripping over it).
  3. Connect the control to the blanket through the appropriate contact.
  4. Connect the power cord to the socket (230V/50Hz).
  5. Make sure that the cord is not twisted.
  6. Do not use any control other than that supplied (KDA6-FT).

  1. Switch the blanket on by setting the control's side switch (1) to ON: the power led will light up.
  2. Now, set the temperature with the Temperature key (2) (Temperature set): during initial warming it is best to press the key (2) repeatedly until all 5 leds are lit up, indicating maximum temperature. It takes the blanket around 30 minutes to reach its maximum temperature.
  3. When the blanket reaches the desired temperature, adjust the temperature with the temperature key (2) by pressing it repeatedly to light up a different number of leds.

The table given below indicates how many presses of the key (2) correspond to a certain number of leds and hence temperature level.

To prevent the blanket overheating, the Daily is equipped with a safety system which automatically returns it to its minimum setting after at most 1 hour of operation.

  1. The KDA6-FT control is also equipped with a timer (Time set key (3)), which sets the hours of operation of the blanket up to a maximum of 8 hours. To set the hours of operation, press button 3 repeatedly and check the number of hours by reading the leds as they light up.

For example, pressing the time set key 3 times sets 3 hours of operation: 2 leds light up, 1 for the first hour and the second for the following two hours: in other words, the blanket will operate for (1h+2h) , a total of 3 hours.

The table below shows the correspondence between the number of presses of the time set key (3) and the number of hours of operation.

TO CANCEL ALL THE TIMER AND TEMPERATURE SETTINGS, PRESS THE CANCEL KEY (4). Now you can make new settings as desired.

N.B.

IF THE LEDS ARE FLASHING, CHECK THAT THE CONTROL IS PROPERLY CONNECTED TO THE BLANKET. PRESS THE CANCEL KEY (4) TO STOP THE LEDS FLASHING, THEN MAKE THE SETTINGS AS DESIRED.

IF THE LEDS DO NOT STOP FLASHING, DISCONNECT THE BLANKET FROM THE POWER SOCKET AND CHECK ITS POWER CORD FOR DAMAGE. IF THE LEDS KEEP ON FLASHING, STOP USING THE BLANKET AND HAVE IT CHECKED OVER BY A QUALIFIED SERVICE CENTRE.

IMPORTANT - If you intend to use the blanket for a long period of time, set the control to its minimum settings.

HOW TO CLEAN THE ELECTRIC BLANKET

Comply with the instructions indicated in the manual and on the blanket's label.

Failure to observe these instructions may irreparably damage the electric blanket and constitute a hazard for those handling the blanket.

• Always remove the plug from the socket and leave the electric blanket to cool before cleaning, folding or storing it.
- Do not cool the blanket unnaturally with any means, whether liquid or gaseous.
- If the blanket is clean, it can be placed in its original box and stored in a dry place.
- Clean the electric blanket with the aid of a damp cloth, or with water and a delicate detergent. Leave to dry before using it or putting it away.

- Do not use industrial solvents such as benzene, kerosene or similar solvents.
- Do not bleach.
- The electric blanket can also be machine-washed using delicate programmes, at a maximum temperature of 40^ with the aid of neutral detergents. However, hand-washing/cleaning prolongs the life of the electric blanket.
- For washing the blanket in the washing machine, disconnect the control and place the electric blanket in a closed mesh bag.
- The controls must never be immersed in water.
- After washing is completed, remove the electric blanket from the mesh bag and hang it to dry while fully open. Do not use pegs to hang it.
- Do not tumble dry.
- Do not iron
- Do not switch the blanket on to dry it - leave it to dry naturally.
- Do not dry the blanket with a hair dryer.
- Do not operate the electric blanket while it is damp or wet.
- Carefully inspect the electric blanket after each wash: if you suspect it may be damaged, avoid using it and bring it to the technical assistance centre for a check-up.
The manufacturer shall not be held liable for any damage to objects and/or harm to persons caused by incorrect maintenance, cleaning or washing.
