Frequently Asked Questions - Acqua WP 130 IMETEC

How to install the filter cartridge?
Remove the old cartridge, insert the new one pushing it all the way in, then fill the water tank and discard the first two filtration cycles.
How often should I change the cartridge?
It is recommended to replace the cartridge every 30 days or after 100 liters of filtered water, whichever comes first.
Can I filter hot water?
No, use only cold tap water. Hot water can damage the filter and reduce its effectiveness.
What if the filtered water tastes bad?
This may indicate that the cartridge is saturated. Replace it and perform a rinse cycle.
Does the filter reduce limescale?
Yes, the ion exchange resin helps reduce limescale, but complete filtration requires a softener.
How long does it take to filter one liter of water?
About 2 to 3 minutes per liter, depending on pressure and cartridge condition.
Can I use the filter with bottled water?
Yes, but it is designed for tap water. Bottled water may already be treated, reducing the filter's usefulness.
Is the tank dishwasher safe?
It is recommended to hand wash with warm water and mild soap. Avoid the dishwasher as it may deform the plastic.
Where can I buy replacement cartridges?
Imetec WP 130 replacement cartridges are available in supermarkets, hardware stores, and online.
Does the filter remove bacteria?
This model uses activated carbon and resin; it reduces chlorine and impurities but is not a bacteriological filter. To remove bacteria, use a UV system or reverse osmosis.
