Read the warnings contained in this booklet carefully as they provide important safety instructions for the installation, use and maintenance of the appliance.

  • After removing the packaging, make sure the product is complete. In the event of visible damage, do not use and return to the manufacturer or dealer.
  • Do not leave the plastic bag or other parts of the packaging within reach of children.
  • For safety reasons, the electric blanket and control unit must not be opened up or taken apart.
  • Use the electric blanket with the control unit provided only (control KB51 for COP410, COP420, COP710 and COP720, control NT63 for COP430E and COP730E).
  • Before connecting the appliance, check that the mains voltage corresponds to the rated voltage of the appliance.
  • Do not use the electric blanket folded or creased.
  • he appliance has been designed and made to operate as an underblanket (positioned on the mattress, under the bottom sheet). All other uses are improper and therefore dangerous.
  • Disconnect the control unit before washing.
  • Do not use if the electric blanket or its components are damp or wet.
  • Do not wring or twist.
  • Do not insert pins or similar into the electric blanket.
  • Unplug the appliance from the mains socket when not in use.

  • The appliance should not be used on adjustable beds as the blanket or cable could be trapped or snagged.
  • Use the appliance on a mattress only. Do not use on rigid surfaces (without a mattress, on a bed base, slats, floor, etc).
  • Unplug from the power socket before lying down.
  • Do not use for invalids, children, people insensitive to heat, or wearers of pacemakers or other battery-powered medical devices.
  • This appliance is not intended for medical use in hospitals.

  • Do not crease and/or deform the electric blanket by placing objects on top of it while stored.
  • In the event of faults or malfunction, unplug from the mains socket. Do not tamper and contact the manufacturer's authorised service centre immediately.
  • If the safety fuse blows, the appliance must be returned to the manufacturer or its representative.
  • Examine the appliance frequently for any signs of wear or deterioration.

If you find such signs or the appliance has been used incorrectly, return it to the supplier before using it again.

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Use the electric blanket with the control unit supplied only:

• control KB51 for COP410, COP420, COP710 and COP720 electric blankets
• control unit NT63 for COP430E and COP730E electric blankets

  1. To connect the control to the electric blanket, insert the control unit connector (A) into the socket on the electric blanket (B) until it clicks into place as shown in fig. 1. For double versions, the operation must be repeated for each side.
  2. Lay the electric blanket directly on the mattress with the side with the electric connector facing the mattress.
  3. Check for creases and smooth if necessary.
  4. Fix to the mattress using the systems provided.

  5. for COP410, COP710 electric blankets, pass the tapes under the mattress and attach to the slit on the other side of the electric blanket (fig. 2).

  6. or COP420, COP720, COP430E and COP730E electric blankets, use the elastic corners. For models COP430E and COP730E, if required the wool over-blanket can be separated from the electric blanket by means of the special clips.

  7. The electric blanket must NOT be turned down.

  8. Place the bottom sheet on the electric blanket and make the bed as normal (fig. 2).
  9. During use, do not place the control unit under the pillow or blanket (fig. 2).
  10. Position the control unit ON/OFF switch (C) in the 0 position (see fig. 3) and plug the control unit plug into a mains socket.
  11. You should turn the electric blanket on an hour before going to bed. Place the switch in the I position (on) and select the temperature level required.
  12. You can select the temperature on the control unit as follows:

• KB51 control: six power levels (1: minimum, 6 maximum)

- NT63 control: ▲ ▼ buttons to select one of the nine power levels (1: minimum, 9 maximum). Press the TURBO POWER button to select a power level which will heat the bed up rapidly. Press the "TIMER" button to select the timer function and turn the electric blanket off automatically after 90 minutes, 3 hours or 12 hours.

Select the temperature according to the temperature of the room and personal preferences. For example:

  • KB51 control unit. Level 1 and 2: low power for slight heating; 3 and 4: medium power; 5 and 6 high power to heat the bed when the room is particularly cold.
  • NT63 control unit. Level 1 to 3: low power for slight heating; 4 to 6: medium power; 7 to 9 high power to heat the bed when the room is particularly cold.

  • Before going to bed, turn the appliance off and unplug from the mains socket.

CLEANING, MAINTENANCE, STORAGE

  • Do not dry clean or use chemical solvents, as these products may damage the electric blanket and compromise the safety of the appliance.
  • Never immerse the control unit or power cable in water.
  • Before washing or cleaning the appliance, unplug the control unit from the electric blanket.
  • Wash the electric blanket by hand or in a washing machine at a maximum temperature of 40^ C with low mechanical action and spin.
  • Never dry in a tumble dryer.
  • Do not crease, wring or twist. Drip dry and hang up without folding, do not iron, do not use or put away if damp.
  • Do not use if the electric blanket or its components are damp or wet.
  • When the electric blanket is not being used, allow to cool down, fold delicately and place in the bag provided without pressing down excessively. Do not rest heavy objects on top of the blanket as it could be crushed and damaged.
