When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed including the following:

Use tap water to rinse the rice for fresher smelling rice.

Pour in the desired amount of water.

Set the inner pan on a flat surface when adding the water. Add the desired amount of water following the scale marked on the inner pan. Hot water is not recommended for cooking as it may result in soggy rice.

Put the inner pan into the body.

Wipe water off around the surface of the inner pan before placing into a rice cooker, otherwise; it may result in strange noise during cooking. Be sure that the inner pan is directly in contact with the cast heater. Improper contact between the inner pan and the cast heater may result in uncooked rice.

Plug in the AC cord to the power supply outlet.

Close the outer lid, plug in the AC cord to the power supply outlet.

Close the outer lid firmly. (If it is not securely closed, cooking will be affected.)

COOK WARM

Press the switch to start cooking. The "COOK" lamp lights up.

Press switch.

Be sure that the smart cap is in the right position before start.

Do not open the outer lid or unplug the appliance while it is operating.

Please ensure that the switch is pressed and the "COOK" lamp lights up properly. (The rice will not be cooked in warming mode.)

COOK WARM

The "WARM" lamp lights up to indicate warming mode.

After the rice is cooked, the appliance will automatically switch to warming mode. Let the rice steam and warm for another 15 minutes without opening the outer lid.

Scoop and mix the rice well.

Unplug the appliance when it is not in use.

To Keep Cooked Rice Warm and Tasty

Rinse the rice until it becomes relatively clear.

After the rice has been steamed and warmed, scoop and mix the rice well.

Do not leave the rice scoop inside the inner pan.

Do not warm the rice for more than 12 hours. (It may result in color change and bad smell.)

Do not use the rice cooker to warm other kinds of food. It is for rice only.

Do not warm cold rice.

Variations in room temperature may cause the rice to discolor and lose its fresh smell.

Clean the dew collector located on the side of the rice cooker by pouring out the water after every use.

How to Steam Food

(Using the steaming basket)

Add 2 cups of water into the inner pan using the measuring cup provided.

To cook rice at the same time, the maximum rice capacity should be as follows:

Leave the food to cool down, then open the outer lid to see whether the food is cooked as desired.

Let the food steam for 10-15 minutes, then cut off power by lifting the switch. When the food cools down, open the outer lid to see whether it is cooked as desired. If the food is not well cooked, close the outer lid and press the switch again. When the water has completely evaporated, the switch will cut off to the warming mode automatically.

When the steaming is done, unplug the appliance and open the outer lid to take the food out.

Before opening the outer lid, be sure that there is no steam ventilated from the appliance.

Remarks

Wait until the food cools down and no steam is coming from the steam vent before opening the outer lid. Then check whether the food is cooked as desired.

When rice is cooked while steaming food, do not open the outer lid until the rice is cooked. (It is better to select the food that has a steaming time similar to the time for cooking rice.)

How to Clean

  • Be sure to unplug and carry out these operations when the unit is cooled down.

  1. Place the valve holder into the steam cap by aligning mark A of the valve holder with mark B of the steam cap. Then turn the valve holder clockwise until it settles properly. (You'll hear the sound "click")
