GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

• Before operating this kettle, please read the instruction manual carefully.
• Please keep the instruction manual, the sales receipt and if possible, the packaging.
• This kettle is intended exclusively for private and not for commercial use
• Switch off the kettle and remove the plug from the socket when the kettle is not in use. When you disconnect the power cord of the kettle, grasp and pull the plug, not the cord/cable.
• Switch off the kettle before cleaning the kettle.
• Keep the kettle out of the reach of children. Do not leave children unsupervised with the kettle.
• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children aged less than 8 years.
• Appliances can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
  • Children shall not play with the appliance.
• Test the kettle and the cord/cable regularly for damage. Check that the kettle and is operating properly. If there is damage of any kind or if the kettle is not operating properly, stop using the kettle and unplug it immediately.
• Do not attempt to repair the kettle yourself, only authorized and qualified personnel may repair this kettle.
• Keep the kettle and cord/cable away from heat, direct sunlight, water, moisture, sharp edges and the like.
• Use only original accessories, do not connect incompatible products.
• Do not use the kettle outdoors.
• The base and exterior of the kettle are not water-resistant, keep it dry at all times.
• Under no circumstances must the kettle be placed in water or any liquid or come in contact with liquid. Do not handle the kettle with wet or moist hands. Should the kettle become wet or moist, remove the main plug from the socket immediately.
• DO NOT touch the contents of the kettle.
• Use the kettle only for its intended purpose.
• The kettle is only to be used with the stand provided.
• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by Technical Assistance in order to avoid a hazard.
• The kettle has the tea filter as a spare part.

SPECIAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE KETTLE

• Use only cold water when filling the device.
  • The water level must be between the MAX. and MIN. marks.
• Switch the kettle off before removing it from the base.
  • Always ensure that the lid is tightly closed.

• The base and exterior of the kettle must not become wet.

- Kettle body used must match with the kettle base.

• The tea filter only can put tea inside it. You can use the kettle without the filter.

First Use of the Kettle

Before using the kettle for the first time, fill the kettle with cold water and boiled it twice without any additives.

1. Fill the kettle with water. Do not overfill. Use the water level indicator.

2. Place the kettle on the base.

4. Check whether the electrical voltage which you intend to use is the same as that of the kettle. Details can be found on the label on the base of the kettle.

5. Only connect the kettle to a properly installed 220-240V\~ 50-60Hz socket.

6. Press the button on the handle to position "I" to switch on. The LED light on the base will light up indicating that the water is being boiled.

7. After boiling the water, the kettle and the light switches off automatically.

8. Disconnect the kettle from the mains electricity supply.

9. Do not open the lid when pouring.

10. This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as:

11. staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments;

12. farm houses;

13. by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments;
    • bed and breakfast type environments.

14. Avoid water spillage on connector during use.

15. Warning: If the kettle is overfilled, boiling water may be ejected.

16. Warning: Potential injury from misuse. The heating element surface is subject to residual heat after use.

CLEANING

• Always remove the plug from the mains supply before cleaning the kettle.
- The exterior of the kettle should be cleaned, if necessary, with a slightly damp cloth without additives.
• The calcium filter can be removed for cleaning
- The tea filter can be disassembled and removable for cleaning.

GENERAL WARRANTY TERMS

1. The warranty is valid only on presentation of invoice of purchase.
2. This WARRANTY is limited exclusively to parts substitution ineffective due to faulty manufacture, made in our workshops.
3. The elimination of several faults of the scope of the guarantee is made for repair or replacement of defective parts, according to the discretion of our technical services. Defective parts are our property.
4. Are not covered under warranty damage caused by transportation, neglect or poor use, improper assembly or installation, as well as external influences such as: lightning strikes or power, flooding, humidity, etc...
5. Lose warranty, all appliances that are not being used according to the instructions, or connected to FEEDING NETWORKS not guarantee a constant voltage of 220/240V.
6. The warranty does not cover damages for personal injury or damage caused directly or indirectly in any capacity whatsoever.
7. This warranty terminates when it is found to have been undergoing repairs, alterations or interventions by any person not authorized by Jocel.

THE WARRANTY EXPIRES

1. If the appliance has not been installed by an Accredited Technician.

2. Exceeded the current legal period, for home appliances and for industrial appliances, warranty expires and assistance will be made by charging the costs of labor hand, according to current fees

3. With the modification or disappearance of the nameplate of the appliance.
