How to install batteries in the TriStar PM-4005 mill?

Turn the top part counterclockwise to remove the battery compartment. Insert 4 AA alkaline batteries respecting the polarities. Replace the compartment and screw the top part back clockwise.

How to adjust the grind fineness?

For a coarser grind, loosen the knob at the bottom of the mill by turning counterclockwise. For a finer grind, tighten the knob clockwise.

How to clean the mill?

Wipe the mill with a dry cloth. Do not put it in the dishwasher and do not immerse it in water. Avoid wetting the battery contacts.

What to do if the mill does not grind?

First check that the batteries are installed correctly and sufficiently charged. Make sure the adjustment knob is not too tight. Check that there is pepper or salt in the compartment. If the mechanism is blocked, tap the mill gently.

What type of batteries to use?

Use 4 AA alkaline batteries of 1.5 V. Do not mix used batteries with new ones. Replace all 4 batteries at the same time.

Can the mill grind salt?

Yes, it is suitable for pepper and salt. After filling with salt, always wipe the opening of the lower part to avoid corrosion on the copper contacts.

What to do if grinding is slow?

Replace the batteries with new ones. Weak batteries can slow down grinding.

Instruction manual

USE

- Twist the upper case of the mill in anti-clockwise direction and remove the battery unit from the lower case.

Mill locked

• Insert 4 AA alkaline batteries as indicated /+into the battery compartment.
• Fill the base compartment of the pepper mill with pepper or salt, using the opening on the base section.
• Attach the battery compartment back onto the lower case (make sure the small copper contacts will connect). Reconnect the upper case to the lower case in clockwise direction to lock the mill. The mill is now ready and safe to use.
• Press the power button on the top to start grinding.
• The mill is provided with a practical light at the bottom of the mill.

Adjusting your Grind

- For coarser grind, loosen the adjustment wheel at the bottom of the mill in anti-clockwise direction

Anti-clockwise for coarser grind

- For finer grind, tighten the adjustment wheel at the bottom of the mill in clockwise direction

CARE AND CLEANING

• To avoid corrosion after filling with salt, always wipe around the opening of the lower case ensuring the two copper contacts are free from salt or pepper.

• Do not leave dead batteries in the mill.

• Replace all 4 batteries at the same time, avoid mixing old batteries with new ones.

• Wipe the mill clean with a dry cloth.
• Do not place the mill in the dishwater and do not immerse in water.
• Make sure the battery contacts will not get wet.

• Check if the adjustment wheel at the bottom is not adjusted to tight.
• Check if there is salt or pepper in the base compartment If the mill is not empty, tap mill gently to free up the grinding gear from any potential jam.
• If grinding is slow, replace the batteries.

• Cleaning, as mentioned in this manual, is the only necessary maintenance for this appliance.
• When the appliance should be repaired, make sure that this will be performed by an authorized company.
• This appliance may not be amended or changed.
• If problems arise during the 2 years from the date of purchase, which are covered by the factory warranty, you can go back to the point of purchase to replace it for a new one.
• For questions or compliances please contact your retailer "point of purchase."
• This appliance is covered with a 24 month guarantee starting on the date of purchase (receipt).
• Only material or manufacturing defects are included in this warranty.
• If you wish to make a claim please return the entire machine in the original packaging to your dealer together with the receipt.
