1 Notice
Pixel characteristics
This LCD/LED product has a high number of color pixels. Although it has effective pixels of 99.999% or more, black dots or bright points of light (red, green or blue) may appear constantly on the screen. This is a structural property of the display (within common industry standards) and is not a malfunction.
Warranty
No components are user serviceable. Do not open or remove covers to the inside of the product. Repairs may only be done by Philips Service Centres and official repair shops. Failure to do so shall void any warranty, stated or implied.
Any operation expressly prohibited in this manual, any adjustments, or assembly procedures not recommended or authorised in this manual, shall void the warranty.
2 Important
Read and understand all instructions before you use your TV. If damage is caused by failure to follow instructions, the warranty does not apply.
Safety
Risk of electric shock or fire!
- Never expose the TV to rain or water. Never place liquid containers, such as vases, near the TV. If liquids are spilt on or into the TV, disconnect the TV from the power outlet immediately. Contact Philips Consumer Care to have the TV checked before use. Never place the TV, remote control or . batteries near naked flames or other heat sources, including direct sunlight. To prevent the spread of fire, keep candles or otherflames away from the TV, remote control and batteries at all times.

- Never insert objects into the ventilation slots or other openings on the TV.
- When the TV is swiveled ensure that no strain is exerted on the power cord. Strain on the power cord can loosen connections and cause arcing.
Risk of electric shock or fire!
- Never expose the remote control or batteries to rain, water or excessive heat.
- Avoid force coming on to power plugs. Loose power plugs can cause arcing or fire.
Risk of injury or damage to the TV!
- Two people are required to lift and carry a TV that weights more than 25 kg.
- When stand mounting the TV, use only the supplied stand. Secure the stand to the TV tightly. Place the TV on flat, level surface that can support the combined weight of the TV and the stand.
- When wall mounting the TV, use only a wall mount that can support the weight of the TV. Secure the wall mount to a wall that can support the combined weight of the TV and wall mount. PE Electronics Ltd. bears no responsibility for improper wall mounting that result in accident, injury or damage.
Risk of injury to children!
Follow these precautions to prevent the TV from toppling over and causing injury to children:
- Never place the TV on a surface covered by a cloth or other material that can be pulled away.
- Ensure that no part of the TV hangs over the edge of the surface.
- Never place the TV on tall furniture (such as a bookcase) without anchoring both the furniture and TV to the wall or a suitable support.
• Educate children about the dangers of climbing on furniture to reach the TV.
Risk of overheating!
- Never install the TV in acspared. Always leave a space of at least 4 inches or 10cm around the TV for ventilation. Ensure curtains or other objects never cover the ventilation slots on the TV.
Risk of damage to the TV!
- Before you connect the TV to the power outlet, ensure that the power voltage matches the value printed on the back of the TV. Never connect the TV to the power outlet if the voltage is different.
Risk of injury, fireor power cord damage!
- Never place the TV or any objects on the power cord.
- To disconnect the TV power cord easily from the power outlet, ensure that you have full access to the power cord at all times.
- When you disconnect the power cord, always pull the plug, never the cable.
- Disconnect the TV from the power outlet and antenna before lightning storms. During lightning storms, never touch any part of the TV, power cord or antenna cable.
Risk of hearing damage!
- Avoid using earphones or headphones at high volumes or for prolonged periods of time.
Low temperatures
- If the TV is transported in temperatures below 5°C, unpack the TV and wait until the TV temperature matches room temperature before connecting the TV to the power outlet.
Screen care
- Avoid stationary images as much as possible. Stationary images are images that remain on-screen for extended periods of time. Examples include: on-screen menus, black bars and time displays. If you must use stationary images, reduce screen contrast and brightness to avoid screen damage.
• Unplug the TV before cleaning. -
Clean the TV and frame with a soft, damp cloth. Never use substances such as alcohol, chemicals or household cleaners on the TV.

Risk of damage to the TV screen! Never touch, push, rub or strike the screen with any object.
• To avoid deformations and color fading, wipe off water drops as soon as possible.
Disposal of your old product and batteries

Your product is designed and manufactured with high quality materials and components, which can be recycled and reused.
3 Antenna and External Equipment Connection
You can connect antenna, external equipment such as VCR, DVD player and PC to your set. Examples are shown below.

ANTENNA CONNECTION
Connect Antenna cable to the ANT IN socket on rear of the TV. For good operation of the set, good signal is required. In the strong signal area an indoor antenna could be used but otherwise an outdoor antenna should be used.
NOTE:
- The aerial cable should not be bundled to the power cord.
COMPONENT (YCbCr/YPbPr) DVD INPUT
- Connect the component outputs (YCbCr / YPbPr) of DVD player to the component (YPbPr) input of the the TV.
- Connect audio outputs (L,R) of a DVD player to the audio input (YPbPr) respectively.
- Press the PLAY button on the DVD player.
VIDEO INPUT
- Connect the component outputs VIDEO out of VCR/Cable receiver to AV1, AV2.
- Connect audio outputs (L, R) of a DVD player to the audio input AV1, AV2 respectively.
- Press the PLAY button on the VCR.
Note : Selecting a Source
Press SOURCE key on remote or on front panel keypad.
A source OSD will appear. Press Up/Down key on the remote or CH+/CH- on front panel can be used to select source. Press OK/Right key on the remote or VOL+' key from front panel to enter selected source or press SOURCE key repeatedly to change and select source.
Press TV key on the remote to enter into TV source from any other source, except USB source.

- Connect the VGA cable from the monitor output socket of the PC to the VGAIN socket of the TV.
- Connect the audio cable from the PC to the VGA AUDIO IN of the set.
- Switch on the PC and PC screen appears on the set. The set can be operated as PC monitor.
NOTE:
A. If the set is cold, there may be a small flicker when the set is switched on. This is normal, there is nothing wrong with the set.
B. Some dot defects may appear on the screen, like Red, Green or Blue spots. However, this will have no impact or effect on the TV/Monitor performance.
HDMI INPUT
- Connect the HDMI(High-Definition Multimedia Interface) cable from the DVD HDMI output socket to the HDMI socket (HDMI1,HDMI2,HDMI3) on the TV.
- Set HDMI mode in DVD(Refer User Manual of DVD)
NOTE: TV can receive the Video and Audio Signal simultaneously by using HDMI cable.

Connect / Insert standard USB and select USB source on source OSD by pressing SOURCE key. Press OK / Right key on remote, connected USB is Listed, press OK to enter in selected USB. Similarly front panel keys CH+/- and VOL+ can be operated as Up/Down and OK/Right keys on remote respectively.
AV OUT
This connection is used for connecting the TV/AV, signal from TV SET 1 to TV SET 2.
NOTE :
1) CH+/CH- keys on remote are represented by - CH + on TV set. VOL+/VOL- keys on remote are represented by - △ + on TV set.

4.3 Battery Installation
- Remove the battery compartment door.
- Install 2 "AAA" or UM-4 (1.5V) batteries or equivalent with the correct polarity as indicated.
- Replace the Battery compartment door.
NOTE: Remove batteries when they are exhausted or if the remote control is not to be used for a long time.
BATTERY PRECAUTIONS :
Incorrect use of batteries can cause electrolyte leakage which will corrode the remote handset or cause the batteries to burst.
■ Replace both batteries at the same time.
■ Don't Mix battery types (alkaline with carbon, zinc etc.).
■ Don't recharge.
5 Use more of your TV
5.1 Access TV menus

5.2 Picture Menu

Note :

5) Default password is 0000 for child lock and hotel mode.

6 Play photos, music & videos on USB storage devices
Video file format supported by USB devices :
• Supported storage devices: USB (for FAT or FAT 32 format only)
• Supported USB file format
• Image: JPEG,BMP,PNG
- Audio:MP3.WMA
- Video: MPEG 1/2/4

Caution
- PE Electronics Ltd is not responsible if the USB storage device is not supported, nor is it responsible for damage or loss of data from the device.
Connect a USB storage device to play photos, music or videos stored on it.
1 Switch on the TV.
2 Connect the USB device to the USB port on the side of your TV.
3 Press

4 Select [Browse USB] then press OK » The USB browser appears.
View photos
1 In the USB browser, select [Photo], or in MENU select [View Photos].
2 Select a photo or a photo album, then press OK to view the photo enlarged to fill the TV screen.
- To view the next or previous photo, press ◀▶.
3 Press the following buttons to control play:
• to play.
- to pause.
- or to play the previous or next photo.
- to stop or Exit.
Change slide show settings
1 While you view a slide show, press

» The slide show options menu is displayed.
2 Select one of the following, then press OK.
• [Play/Pause] : Play or Pause the slideshow.
• [Repeat] : Play photos once, current file repeatedly or folder repeatedly.
• [Shuffle on] / [Shuffle off] : Play in sequence or at random.
- [Slideshow frequency] : Select the options Short/Medium/Long.
- [Slideshow transitions] : Set the transition from one picture to the next.
• [Show info] : Display the picture name, date, size and next picture in the slide show.
Listen to music
1 In the USB browser, select [MUSIC], or in MENU select [Listen Music], then then press OK.
2 Select a music track or album, then press OK to play.
Change music settings
While you play music, press
Menu to access one of the following settings, then press OK.
• [Play/Pause] : Play/Pause music.
• [Repeat] :Play Song once, current file repeatedly or folder repeatedly.
• [Smart Sound]: Select sound modes as Personal, Speech, Standard, Music.
• [Shuffle on] / [Shuffle off] :Play songs in sequence or at random.
• [Show Spectrum/Hide spectrum]: Select the options to show or hide the spectrum.
• [Show info ]: Display the file name, Duration ,next song

Change Text settings
While you read text, press

- [Font]: Select the font size, style and color.

In [Photo],[Music] or [Video] select any file or folder,then press to access any one of the following.
- [Sort]: Sort the files according to the type, date and name.
• [Media Type]: Select the media type as Photo, Music, Video or Text.
• [Thumbnail Size]: Select the thumbnail size as Small, Large and Middle.
• [Normal Parser/Recursive Parser]: Select the options for parsing of files.
Disconnect a USB storage device

Caution
- Follow this procedure to avoid damage to your USB storage device.
1 Press ↩ to exit the USB browser.
2 Wait for five seconds, then disconnect the USB storage device.
7 Troubleshooting
Before you call the service person, check the following points.
