1	Power	Press to turn the projector on/off.Press and hold for 5 seconds to enter pairing mode.
2	Automatic Mode	Continuously press to cycle through multiple scenarios.
3	Voice Control	Continuously press to cycle through multiple music rhythms.
4	Previous/Volume-	Press to return to the previous song.Press and hold to turn the volume down.
5	Next/Volume +	Press to skip to the next song.Press and hold to turn the volume up.
6	Play/Pause	Press to play/pause.Press and hold for 5 seconds to connect/disconnect Bluetooth.

CONNECT TO SMARTERHOME™ APP

Install App

Download the "Kogan SmarterHome" app from the Play Store (Android) or App Store (iOS).

To register:

1. If you already have a SmarterHome account, select 'Log In'. To register a new account, select 'Sign Up'.
2. The system will automatically recognise your country. If needed, you can manually select your country from the drop-down box. Enter your email address and tap 'Get Verification Code' to continue.
3. A 6-digit code will be sent to the submitted email address. Enter this code before the one-minute timer expires.
4. Continue to the next page and complete your SmarterHome profile.

Set Device in Pairing Mode

When the device is first turned on, it may automatically enter pairing mode (you will hear a voice prompt saying 'Bluetooth Mode').

If not automatically in pairing mode when powered on, you can manually set the device in pairing mode by pressing and holding the 'Power' button for 5 seconds until you hear a voice prompt saying 'Bluetooth Mode'.

Add Device Through Network

1. Once registered, tap "Add Device" on the app's home page, or the "+" in the upper right corner, to add a new device through the network.
2. Select the product type from the list of options in the app (Lighting > Star Light).
3. Enter your Wi-Fi details. It is important that your SmarterHome™ device and the app are connected to the same Wi-Fi network during setup.

Notes:

• The device and the app have to use the same Wi-Fi network.
• The device is only compatible with 2.4Ghz networks.
- Depending on the product, Steps 3 and 4 may be in opposite order.

1. Ensure that the device is in pairing mode, with the voice prompt saying 'Bluetooth Mode, and tap "Confirm light is rapidly flashing".

2. The device will commence the pairing process and connect to the app. Ensure your Wi-Fi router, mobile phone, and the SmarterHome™ device are kept close until connection is complete.

3. After successfully being added, you will have the option to rename the device and assign it to a location. It will now be listed on the app's home page. Tap the device listing to enter its control page.

Note:

Once connected, you can select Create Scene from the “+” in the upper right corner (or from the Scene tab) to group connected SmarterHome™ products and automate their functions.

GOOGLE HOME CONTROL

Note:

You will need to have set up a Google Home account prior to linking your Kogan SmarterHome™ device.

Adding "SmarterHome" to the Google Home App

1. From the home page of the Google Home app, select the "+" icon (top left corner, see arrow in the below screenshot) to access the 'Add and manage' page.
2. Select 'Set up device', then select the 'Works with Google' option.

1. Select the search bar and type 'Smarter Home' to locate the Kogan SmarterHome™ service.
2. From here, you will be prompted to sign into your SmarterHome™ account using either your email or mobile phone number, depending on which method you used to register your account.
3. Select "Kogan SmarterHome™" from the app options.

1. Tap 'Authorise' to grant Google permission to access the SmarterHome™ app and your devices.
2. Once connected, the app will display any compatible devices linked to your SmarterHome™ account. From here you can assign them to rooms and set up any routines. Tap on any of the devices to view a list of available commands.

By signing in, you are authorizing Google to control your devices. Authorize You can make permission at any time.

1. From the home page of the Alexa app, select the “≡” icon in the bottom-right and select “Skills & Games” from the sidebar.
2. Select the search bar and type 'Smarter Home' to locate the Kogan SmarterHome™ skill.

OPERATION

Powering the Projector

• Plug the USB-C end of the provided USB-C to USB-A cable into the USB-C input port of the projector, and the USB-A end into a power adapter (not provided).
• External devices can be charged using the USB-A output port.

Bluetooth Mode

• Ensure your phone is not connected to any Bluetooth devices. After successfully pairing to the projector, connecting to other Bluetooth devices will not be affected.
• If the projector goes out of the Wi-Fi range of the router or if the router is turned off, the projector will automatically switch to Bluetooth mode within 5 minutes.

Setting Up the Projector as a Bluetooth Speaker

1. Bluetooth mode is turned on by default. When you turn on the projector, you will hear a voice prompt saying 'Bluetooth Mode'. If the projector is not in pairing mode when powered on, press and hold the 'Power' button for 5 seconds until you hear the voice prompt saying 'Bluetooth Mode'.
2. Turn on Bluetooth on your smartphone, tablet, computer, or other device and set it to search for new devices.
3. Select 'Galaxy Starship' from the list of available devices.
4. Once paired, you will hear a voice prompt saying, 'The Bluetooth device is connected successfully'.
