How do I adjust the chime volume?

Use a suitable screwdriver to turn the potentiometer on the module. Turn clockwise to increase volume, counter-clockwise to decrease. The default setting is halfway.

Which vehicles are compatible with the SWRGM-49R?

It is compatible with select Chevrolet and GMC vehicles 2019-up, including Camaro, Colorado, Cruze, Equinox, Malibu, Silverado, Sonic, Spark, Terrain, Sierra, Canyon, Acadia, Yukon. Check the manual for a full list.

How do I set the DIP switches for my aftermarket radio?

Refer to the DIP switch settings table in the manual. For example, set DIP 1 OFF, DIP 2 ON, DIP 3 ON for most off-brand radios. Always check your radio's manual for SWC programming if needed.

Does the interface retain the factory backup camera?

Yes, it retains the factory backup camera via a yellow RCA connector, except on Camaro IOR 2019-up. Connect the RCA to the aftermarket radio's reverse camera input and test before final installation.

What do the LED indicators mean?

Solid blue: CAN recognized. Flashing blue: CAN not recognized. Solid red: module providing 12V ACC. Red off: ACC off. This helps with troubleshooting.

Can I use this interface with a Bose amplified system?

No, the SWRGM-49R does not retain Bose amplifiers. It is designed for non-amplified vehicles or those with bypassed amplifiers.

How do I connect the steering wheel control (SWC) wires?

If your radio has wires for SWC, cut the 3.5mm plug (Option B) and connect: Red to SWC Key 1, White to SWC Key 2, Shield to SWC Ground. For radios with only SWC1 and SWC2, the shield is not needed.

What is RAP (Retained Accessory Power)?

RAP allows certain accessories (like radio, windows) to operate after the ignition is turned off until a door is opened. The SWRGM-49R retains this function.

How do I install the SWRGM-49R module?

Follow the installation diagram in the manual. Connect the 56-pin connector to the factory harness, the 16-pin black connector to the aftermarket radio, and the 4-pin SWC cable to the SWC module. Test before reassembling the dashboard.

What if my aftermarket radio brand is not listed in the DIP switch table?

For Atoto, Blaupunkt, Dual, Fahrenheit, Power Acoustik, Soundstream, and most off-brand radios, use the same setting (DIP 1 OFF, 2 ON, 3 ON). Also check your radio's manual for SWC button programming.

CHIME VOLUME ADJUSTMENT:

The SWRGM-49R has a potentiometer to adjust the chime volume. It is set at half way by default. To adjust the volume, simply use a suitable screw driver and turn the potentiometer clockwise to increase the volume and counter-clockwise to decrease the volume.

OEM CAMERA RETENTION:

The SWRGM-49R is prewired with an RCA connector to retain the OEM camera on vehicles with a IOR system.

1. Connect Yellow video RCA to the new aftermarket radio reverse camera input.
2. Test the video feed before installing the radio back into the dashboard. (Radio may need to be set prior to testing)

NOTE: For Atoto, Blaupunkt, Dual, Farenheit, Power Acoustik, Soundstream, and most off-brand radios, check the aftermarket radio's manual to see if the SWC buttons need to be programmed.

3.5MM SWC CABLE

Plug in the 3.5MM to 4-Pin SWC cable to the SWC module.

NOTE: Cap or Insulate the 3.5mm plug and Blue/Yellow wire if not being used.

For aftermarket radios that have wires for SWC connections, cut off the 3.5mm plug on the Crux SWC Cable (option B) and connect the SWC wires as follows:

Note that there are some radios that only have SWC1 and SWC2, in this case "shield" does not need to be connected.
