Prerequisites for Installation - Important Instructions
Local installation regulations (e.g.: DIN 1988), general guidelines, general hygiene conditions and technical data must be followed at all times!
In some countries, the installation of this filter may require “disconnection from the system”.
When installing a new or replacement filter, check all parts to check that nothing is missing and that they have not been damaged in transport.
A shut-off valve must be installed in front of the inlet hose of the filter.
When fitting accessories(house, connection-sets, etc.), note the fitting dimensions, bending radii and dimensions.
An approved backflow protection (DVGW type-tested backflow preventer as per DIN 3269-1/DIN 3269-2) is built into the filter system.
Avoid mechanical damage to the filter.
Faulty parts must be replaced.
The installation location must be frost-proof and protected from direct exposure to sunlight.
Do not install near heat sources or open flames.
Chemicals, solvents and vapours must not come incontact with the filter.
If the above conditions are not met, the technical function cannot be guaranteed.
Installation date
Prior to the installation of the filter, write the date of the new installation and also the replacement date (max. + 6 months) on the label on the filter.

Set the date ring on the filter (current month + max. 6 months).

Do not exceed the maximum inlet pressure. Caution! If the inlet pressure is greater than 8 bar, a pressure reducer must be fitted in front of the filter. Then set the inlet pressure to 4 bar.
A minimum inlet pressure of 1 bar is required for the filter to function. In the event of pressure fluctuations – and pressure surges, the sum of pressure surge and standing pressure must not exceed the nominal pressure of 8 bar. In the process, the positive pressure surge must not exceed 2 bar and the negative pressure surge must not exceed 50% of the adjusting flow pressure (see DIN 1988 Part 2.2.4).
Intended Use / Function
Filter for the removal of undesirable odours or flavours (e.g. chlorine), natural colorants (e.g. humic substances) and for the disinfection of drinking water.
The water first flows through active carbon. The large surface and the porosity cause the ad-sorption of undesirable dissolved organic matter. Natural colorants and odours are thus removed. At the same time any existing suspended sediments are separated.
The water is then membrane filtered. This is a “dead-end-microfiltration” system. The pore width is so small that bacteria cannot pass through.
Only with HB Pure Energy:
The HB Pure Energy filter also helps reduce the build-up of lime in pipes. Annoying lime residue can thus be avoided to a large extent.
Initial Installation
Important:
Do not use brute force when install the filter, as this will render the filter warranty null and void! The technical data (section x) and also the operation and safety instructions (section x) must be followed. If the product has been stored at under 0°C, the unpacked product must be exposed to the ambient temperature of the installation site for at least 24 hours before it is operated.
When fitting accessories (hoses, connection sets, etc.), note the fitting dimensions, bending radii and dimensions.
Fitting the wall bracket
Attach the mounting clamp to a suitable spot using
Fitting height should be at least 400 mm.

Changing the filter unit ( Reference )
Important: Change the filter after 10,000 litres of water flow or if the water flow from the filter drops off greatly.
However, the filter unit must be changed after 6 months.

The filter must be replaced by the operator if it is to operate efficiently. The filter must be replaced regularly depending on operating conditions if the water pressure drops and no later than after 10,000 litres of flow or every 6 months.
Drinking water is a food product,
Hygienic care should therefore be the rule when work is being carried out.
Check seals:
daily
Replace filter:
not later than every 6 months
Replace stainless steel gauze hose:
every 5 years
