Frequently Asked Questions - LWT1210 Kleenmaid

How do I clean the filter?
Open the filter cover at the bottom right, unscrew the drain filter slowly to avoid water spillage. Clean out lint and debris, then reinsert and tighten. Ensure it is properly secured to avoid leaks.
What is the maximum spin speed?
The maximum spin speed is 1200 rpm. You can adjust the spin speed for different fabrics; higher speeds provide better drying but may crease delicate items.
Can I use liquid detergent?
Yes, you can use liquid detergent. For best results, use the detergent drawer's liquid compartment or a dosing ball. Avoid overfilling to prevent residue.
How do I activate the child lock?
Press and hold the Child Lock button (usually indicated by a padlock icon) for 3-5 seconds until the indicator lights up. Repeat to deactivate. This prevents accidental button presses during operation.
What should I do if the machine doesn't start?
Check that the power cord is plugged in, the door is fully closed, and the water supply is turned on. Also ensure the program dial is set correctly. If the issue persists, consult the manual.
How do I fix an unbalanced load?
Pause the cycle and open the door. Redistribute the laundry evenly to avoid unbalanced load. Overloading or washing single heavy items often causes this. Run a spin-only cycle after adjusting.
What is the energy efficiency rating?
This model has an energy efficiency rating of A++, meaning it is highly efficient. It consumes approximately 220 kWh per year under standard use, saving on electricity bills.
How do I descale the machine?
Use a descaling agent designed for washing machines. Pour it into the detergent drawer and run a hot empty cycle (90°C). Repeat every 3-6 months to prevent limescale buildup.
What should I do if the door won't open?
Wait for the door lock to release after the cycle ends (usually 1-2 minutes). If stuck, check if the machine has water left; run a drain program first. Do not force the door.
How do I install the machine?
Remove all transport bolts at the back. Level the machine using the adjustable feet, ensuring no rocking. Connect the inlet hose to a cold water tap and the drain hose to a standpipe or sink. Plug into a grounded outlet.
