INSTRUCTIONS

Introduction

Thank you for choosing Impact.

Impact's Forever Ready Cool Light is a lightweight LED replacement for your old fluorescent fixtures. This color-corrected lamp is 5600 K daylight balanced, and the four LED tubes are surrounded by diffusers for a soft, flattering light that will wrap around your subject and avoid multiple harsh shadows. The LED tubes are cool to the touch, so they're ideal for photographing anything that's sensitive to heat, like food or people. The FRC-24-LED has a passive cooling system that prevents overheating.

The FRC-24-LED light comes with a yoke for light stand mounting and effortlessly aiming the light, and the built-in barn doors let you shape the beam to your specifications. The pebbled silver reflective surface on the barn doors maximizes light output.

  • Make sure the unit is powered off when plugging it into a power source.

• Clean the unit with only a soft, dry cloth.

Setup

Attach the Yoke and Receiver

1. Use the threaded knobs to attach the yoke to the light fixture.
2. Use the included nut to attach the receiver to the yoke.

Connect the Lights

Gently remove the packing around the bulbs.

1. Fit each bulb into its metal clip.
2. Press each bulb into its socket until it clicks into place.

To remove a bulb, press and hold the red release button, and gently lift the bulb out of the fixture.

Powering the Light

1. Plug the light into an available wall socket.

2. Press the power switches to turn on the lights. Each switch illuminates two of the bulbs.

Barndoors

Use the barndoors to aim and shape the beam.

- Leave the barndoors fully open for a wide and unobstructed beam that will fill a large space.

- Close the barndoors more fully to limit the beam to a narrow area that will illuminate only your subject or create a narrow beam of light on your background.

- Slightly close the barndoors to limit light spill and amplify the light that falls on your subject.

One-Year Limited Warranty

This impact product is warranted to the original purchaser to be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal consumer use for a period of one (1) year from the original purchase date or thirty (30) days after replacement, whichever occurs later. The warranty provider's responsibility with respect to this limited warranty shall be limited solely to repair or replacement, at the provider's discretion, of any product that falls during normal use of this product in its intended manner and in its intended environment. Imporability of the product or parts) shall be determined by the warranty provider. If the product has been discontinued, the warranty provider reserves the right to replace it with a model of equivalent quality and function.

This warranty does not cover damage or defect caused by misuse, neglect, accident, alteration, abuse, improper installation or maintenance. To obtain warranty coverage, contact the Impact Customer Service Department to obtain a return merchandise authorization ("RMA") number, and return the defective product to Impact along with the RMA number and proof of purchase. Shipment of the defective product is at the purchaser's own risk and expense.
