How do I assemble the Pyle PSTM40 steam mop?

Attach the steamer head to the body using the provided screw (Philips screwdriver required). Then push the handle straight up until it clicks. Place the cloth pad on the floor with the drawstring loosened, set the steamer head inside, and tighten the drawstring securely.

What type of water should I use?

The steamer does not require distilled water, but if you live in a hard water area, using distilled water is recommended to prevent mineral buildup and maintain performance.

Why is there no steam coming out?

First, ensure the water tank is full. For initial use, hold the trigger for about 30 seconds to prime the unit. If still no steam, mineral deposits may have built up; use distilled water or descale with white vinegar.

Can I use the steam mop on sealed hardwood floors?

Yes, but only on sealed hardwood. Do not leave the steamer in one spot for too long, as heat and steam may raise the wood grain. Test an isolated area first.

How do I use the carpet glider?

Place the carpet glider on the floor with the triangular flat surface facing down. Set the steam mop head on top of the glider (it is not fixed for safety). Use only on soft carpet areas.

How do I clean the cloth pad?

Remove the pad after use and wash it in a washing machine and dryer. Over time, pads may need replacement for optimal performance.

What should I do if white residue is left on the floor?

This can happen if the steamer is left in one spot too long. Remove residue with household white vinegar or a decalcifying product. Alternatively, reheat the area for one minute (do not overheat).

ASSEMBLYANDUSE

1) Attachsteamerheadtobodyoftheunit.
2) Securesteamerheadwithscrewprovideduntilfullytightened(usePhilips screwdriver.)

3) Push the steamer handle straightup by pressing on the folding handle button.

4) Setclothpadonthefloor. Besuretoloosendrawstringonthepadsothatthe steamerheadwillfitproperlyinsidethepad. Placesteamerheadontoclothpadso thatsteamerheadissittinginsidepad. Pulldrawstringtotightenclothpadoverthe steamerheadtoassureatightfitforcleaning.

NOTE: The steam erdoes not required distilled water. Residents in areas with hard water should used distilled water for better performance.

6) Twist the quick release record wrap clock wisetoun-wrap the power cord completely. Hang the cordon the handle record wrap for better use of the steamer when moving and cleaning.
7) TheLEDwillilluminatewhenthesteamerisreadyforcleaning(AquaLaseronly).

NOTE: It is recommended that another highwattage appliance is not operated on the same circuit to avoid a circuit overload.

CAUTION: Upon initial use, please hold triggerto allow the water to flow the system for approximately 30 second stop primethe unit.

8) Slowlypassoversurfacetobecleanedwhilepressingtriggertoemitsteam. It is recommended to sweeporvacuumfloorpriortousingthesteamer.
9) Withsteam control options, pushbutton to choose setting that best fits your cleaning needs. Scrub for deep cleaning, mop for general day today cleaning, or dust for quick cleaning.
10) Usevibratesettinginordertoprovideadditionalcleaningpower.

11) When steamer stopsemitting steam, after approximately 15 to 20 minutes of use, simply remove the watertank, refill, and continue cleaning.

WARNING:NEVERRUNTHESTEAMERWITHOUTWATER.

12) When you finish cleaning, unplug power cord from outlet. Besure to empty water tank and carefully remove cloth pad from steamer head. Store the unit upright in adry area or hang it by the storage hook.
