How do I change the operating mode between memory and push-button?

Press the top or bottom of the cover for 8 to 12 seconds. After 2 seconds, short signal tones sound, then a 1.5 s continuous tone. After a further 3 seconds, the mode switches: 4 short tones indicate memory mode, 1-second continuous tone indicates push-button mode.

How do I save the Up or Down travelling time?

Press the top (for Up) or bottom (for Down) of the cover for 3.5 to 8 seconds. After 2 seconds, short tones and then a 1.5 s continuous tone sound. Once the continuous tone begins, the travelling time is saved. You can save only one direction if needed.

What happens after a mains voltage failure?

If the failure lasts less than 30 minutes, saved travelling times are delayed by the outage duration. If longer than 30 minutes, both saved times are deleted and memory mode becomes active again after power returns.

How do I delete all saved travelling times?

Press the top or bottom of the cover for more than 12 seconds. After about 12 seconds, a 3-second continuous tone begins. Once this tone starts, all travelling times are deleted and the device returns to memory mode.

How does the sun protection function work?

When a sun sensor is connected and brightness exceeds 20,000 lx for more than 2 minutes, the blind moves down and stops once the sensor is shaded. It only activates if the blind was at the upper end position and the control has been idle for 2 minutes. Manual operation deactivates it. When brightness stays below 20,000 lx for over 15 minutes, the blind returns to the upper end position.

How do I adjust the slats?

Press the top or bottom of the cover for less than 1 second. The slat position changes as long as you press the button.

What should I do before installation?

Disconnect all circuit breakers that supply dangerous voltage to the device or load. The device is not suitable for disconnection from supply voltage. Installation and fitting must only be performed by electrically skilled persons.

Can I use the device without a sun sensor?

Yes, the sun protection function requires a sensor, but the device works normally for manual or timed operation without it.

What is the maximum moving time for the blind?

The moving time is approximately 120 seconds maximum. The device can save one Up and one Down travel time.

How do I connect an extension or sensor?

Connect the sun sensor or extension flex to the terminal block with correct polarity. Reversing polarity may cause malfunctions. Refer to the instructions for the specific sensor or control.

1 Safety instructions

Electrical equipment may only be installed and fitted by electrically skilled persons. Serious injuries, fire or property damage possible. Please read and follow manual fully. Danger of electric shock. Always disconnect before carrying out work on the devise or load. At the same time, take into account all circuit breakers that supply dangerous voltage to the device or load.

Danger of electric shock. Device is not suitable for disconnection from supply voltage. These instructions are an integral part of the product, and must remain with the end customer.

3 Function

Intended use

• Operation of electrically-driven blinds and shutters

Operating modes

Memory mode:

- The saved Up and Down travelling times are executed in a 24-hour cycle.

- A signal tone sounds when the button is pressed.

i No signal tone sounds when activating via an extension.

Push-button mode:

- The saved travelling times are not executed.

- No signal tone sounds when the button is pressed.

Sun protection function

The connection of a sun sensor enables automatic shading when it is very bright outside. If the measured brightness exceeds the brightness threshold for more than 2 minutes, the blind moves downwards and stops as soon as the sun sensor is shaded.

The sun protection function is only activated if the Venetian blind has been moved to the upper end position and the control has deactivated automatically after 2 minutes. Each manual operation deactivates the sun protection.

If the brightness threshold is fallen short of for more than 15 minutes, the Venetian blind moves back to the upper end position.

Behaviour after a mains voltage failure

- A mains voltage failure that lasts less than 30 minutes causes the saved travelling times to be delayed by the duration of the power failure.

- After a mains voltage failure lasting longer than 30 minutes, both saved travelling times are deleted. After mains voltage return, the memory mode is active.

4 Operation

Moving the Venetian blind

■ Press top or bottom of cover for one to 3.5 seconds.

The Venetian blind moves in the desired direction to the end position or stops when the button is pressed again.

Adjusting the slats

■ Press top or bottom of cover for shorter than one second.

The slat position changes in the desired direction for as long as the button is pressed.

Changing operating mode

■ Press top or bottom of cover for 8 to 12 seconds.

After 2 seconds, several short signal tones are sounded and a long continuous tone of 1.5 seconds.

After a further 3 seconds, the operating mode switches over and the new operating mode is signalled:

4 short signal tones = memory mode

1-second continuous tone = push-button mode

Saving travelling times

The travelling times can be saved in push-button mode or memory mode. Only the current time can ever be saved as travelling time

- Press top of cover for 3.5 to 8 seconds to save the Up travelling time or press bottom of cover to save the Down travelling time.

After 2 seconds, several short signal tones are sounded and a long continuous tone of 1.5 seconds.

Once the continuous tone begins, the travelling time is saved. Any existing value will be overwritten.

i It is also possible to only save an Up or Down travelling time.

Deleting all travelling times

■ Press top or bottom of cover for longer than 12 seconds.

After 2 seconds, several short signal tones are sounded and a long continuous tone of 1.5 seconds.

Then the operating mode is signalled.

After about 12 seconds, a 3-second long continuous tone begins.

Once the continuous tone begins, the travelling times are deleted and the cover is in memory mode.

5.1 Fitting and electrical connection

Mounting and connecting

DANGER!

Electrical shock when live parts are touched.

Electrical shocks can be fatal.

Before carrying out work on the device or load, disengage all the corresponding circuit breakers. Cover up live parts in the working environment.

The Venetian blind control is mounted and connected properly (see instructions for the relevant Venetian blind control).

■ If necessary, install sun sensor and connect to terminal block (see instructions for the sensors and control).

Connect the sun sensor with the correct polarity. If a sensor is connected with reversed polarity, this will result in malfunctions. It might not be possible to operate the cover any more.

■ Mount cover (3) with frame (2) onto the Venetian blind control (1) (figure 1).
