Remove door panel from door and carefully disconnect all hardware and wire harnesses between panel and door.

Remove plastic vapor barrier from door frame and set aside to re-apply after install of HushMat is complete.

Apply one sheet 12" x 12" sheet of HushMat Ultra Foil backed damping material to the inside of the outer door skin by removing the brown release paper from the Ultra and passing the sheet through the largest access hole in the frame. Place it in the area behind the speaker.

Customers prefer HushMat Ultra black foil as it does not reflect light and will not be seen through speaker grills and other access holes in the door panel.

Position the sheet against the outer skin by using the smaller access holes through door frame. Apply hand pressure to the Ultra starting in the center and work toward the outer edges of the sheet.

Use the second 12" x 12" sheet of HushMat Ultra and place on flat cutting surface. Use the metal speaker and place it facing down on the Ultra. Score around the speaker frame and remove the speaker. Cut along the score line – this will cut out the speaker opening. Take the round cut out and place it on the inside of the outer door skin above the crash bar on the center of the door. Peel the brown release paper back and apply it to the door around the speaker hole as pictured below.

Repeat these steps on each door you are installing the speakers.

Install each Wave Breaker pad by peeling back the white release paper (it is easiest to remove by pinching one of the corners of the foam). Apply the Wave Breaker pad directly behind the magnet on each door by adhering the pad to the foil of the HushMat Ultra.

Reassemble Door

Reinstall the plastic vapor barrier and install the door speaker and hardware to the door.

Secure all hardware and electrical connections from the door panel to the door and place the panel back onto the vehicle. Test each device to ensure function before securing the panel.

Secure the door panel to the door and the door installation is complete. Repeat the above steps for each door in your vehicle.
