Kit Assembly

TOOLS REQUIRED
- Panel removal tool • Phillips screwdriver
• Euro radio removal keys (2 sets) Metra part number: 86-9001
CAUTION: Metra recommends disconnecting the negative battery terminal before beginning any installation, unless the vehicle manufacturer recommends against so. Please check with your local Dealership for more information. All accessories, switches, climate controls panels, and especially air bag indicator lights must be connected before reconnecting the battery or cycling the ignition. Also, do not remove the factory radio with the key in the on position, or the vehicle running. It would be best to remove the key from the ignition and then wait a few seconds before removing the factory radio.

Dash Disassembly
- Open the door below the climate control panel. (Figure A)
- Unclip and remove the climate control trim panel. (Figure B)
- Remove and unplug the passenger airbag hazard switch assembly.
- Unclip the vent/display trim bezel. (Figure C)

Dash Disassembly
- Unclip and remove the vents from the factory trim panel and save for kit assembly. (Figure D)
- Remove the factory radio display using (2) sets of euro radio removal keys (top and bottom). (Figure E)
- Remove the VW Infotainment unit from the glove compartment using euro radio removal keys to access the antenna and power harness. (Figure F)

Kit Assembly
ISO DIN radio provision with pocket
- Cut and remove the (2) plastic shaded areas from the sub dash. (Figures A, B).
- Slide the radio housing into the dash cavity and push in to engage the clips to the sub dash. (Figure C)
- Remove the metal "DIN" sleeve and trim ring from the aftermarket radio.
- Attach the radio brackets to the radio using the screws supplied with the radio. (Figure D)

- Screw the pocket into the radio and bracket assembly using (4) #8 x 3/8" screws supplied with the kit. (Figure D)
6. CAUTION!
The airbag light must be plugged in before the ignition is cycled on. Failure to do so will cause an SRS (Airbag) fault that can only be turned off by the dealership.
Locate the factory wiring harness in the dash and make all necessary wire and antenna connections. Metra recommends using the proper mating adapter from Metra or AXXESS. Re-connect the negative battery terminal and test the radio for proper operation

Kit Assembly
- Slide the radio into the radio housing and secure with (4) #8 x 3/8" screws supply with the kit. (Figure E)
- Insert the factory vent assembly into the 99-9013HG radio trim panel. (Figure F)
- Reassemble the dash in the reverse order of disassembly, using the 99-9013HG radio trim panel.

ISO DDIN radio provision
- Cut and remove the (2) plastic shaded areas from the sub dash. (Figures A, B).
- Slide the radio housing into the dash cavity and push in to engage the clips to the sub dash. (Figure C)
- Attach the radio brackets to the radio using the screws supplied with the radio.
