How do I connect the satellite speaker to the active unit?

Use the supplied speaker wire to connect the spring terminals on the active speaker (marked red and black) to the satellite speaker, matching red to red and black to black.

What should I do if there is no sound and the power LED is not lit?

Check that the power switch is turned on, the mains lead is properly connected, and the mains outlet is working.

How can I adjust the bass and treble?

Use the BASS and TREBLE controls on the active speaker. The center (12 o'clock) position is neutral, turn left to cut, right to boost.

Can I mount the speakers on the wall?

Yes, the package includes wall-mounting brackets and screw caps. Attach the brackets to a solid surface using appropriate fixings, then fix the speakers to the brackets at top and bottom with the screw caps. Ensure the active unit is near a mains outlet.

Why is sound only coming from one speaker?

Check that the speaker wire is securely connected from the active to the satellite speaker, and that the signal cable is properly connected to the RCA inputs.

Setting up

For near-field or desktop use, space speakers apart for adequate stereo separation depending on proximity to the listener. For installations using the supplied wall-mount brackets, attach the brackets to a solid surface using fixings which are sufficient to hold the weight of the active speaker. Take care to mount the active unit close enough to a mains outlet for the supplied adaptor to reach. Fix the speaker units to the brackets at top and bottom using the supplied screw caps. Each can be rotated to aim the general direction of sound output.

If the speakers are mounted at height or where falling objects may be hazardous, it is advised to attach a secondary means of support (e.g. drop-wire or chain)

Operation

Link the satellite speaker to the spring terminals on the powered speaker (5) using the supplied speaker lead (connecting red to red and black to black)

With the rotary VOLUME (3) control set to minimum and TREBLE and BASS controls (1, 2) set to the vertical (12 o'clock) position, connect the attached mains lead (7) to a suitable mains outlet. Connect the source signal into the active unit via the L+R RCA connectors (4). Switch the power on (6) and gradually turn the rotary VOLUME control clockwise and increase volume level to the required amount.

Adjust TREBLE (2) and BASS (1) controls to provide the desired tonal response. The centre position is unaffected, to the left is cut and to the right is boost.

Turn down the rotary VOLUME control before switching off.
