Please read the instruction booklet carefully before using and save it for future reference.
Important Safeguards
When using any electrical appliance, the below basic precautions should always be followed:
- Read all instructions before using.
- Before use checks that the voltage power corresponds to the one shown on the appliance nameplate.
- This appliance has been incorporated with a grounded plug. Please ensure the wall outlet in your house is well earthed.
- Do not touch hot surface. Use handle or knobs only.
- To protect against electric shock, do not immerse cord, plug, or the appliance in water or other liquid.
- Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
- Place the appliance on the flat surface. Do not place on the heated surface.
- Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before cleaning the appliance.
- Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions. Return the appliance to the nearest authorized service center for examination, repair or adjustment.
- Do not let cord hang over edge of that table or counter, or touch hot surface.
- Never insert oversized food or metal foil or other utensils into the appliance.
- The appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised.
- Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years.
- Do not use outdoors.
- Do not use the appliance for other than intended use.
- This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as:
– staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments; - farm houses;
– by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments;
- bed and breakfast type environments.
- The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system.

Know your sandwich maker

For first use
For the first use, smear the heating plate with oil and toast two slices bread according to the following steps. Unplug from the power outlet and let it cool down, wipe the heating plate with damp cloth, the first toasted bread should be discarded.
Operation
- Connect the plug into rated voltage and the cooking surface begin pre-heating and the red indicator will be illuminated. Once the cooking surface has reached the preset temperature, the ready indicator will be illuminated and this Sandwich Maker is ready to toast.
- Place two slices of bread side by side on the bottom of heating plate with the greased side downside. And add filling on the bread. Then place another two slices of bread side by side on the filling with the greased side up.

Close the Sandwich maker and lock the handle.

After about 5-6 minutes, the ready indicator will light up again and it means the toasted bread is finished, open the appliance and you can take it to eat. Sandwich maker can also be stopped at any time by unplug the power cord out of the outlet according to your taste.
- The intervals should not be too long between two consecutive cycles.
- During operation, you can stop operating by unplugging from power supply at any time.
Note: when the unit is heating, the ready indicator is off, once the desired temperature has reached, the thermostat will operate and the ready indicator will light up.
Caution:
- If too much food is inserted into the appliance and the sandwich maker cannot be closed. Never close it with undue force as this would do damage to the handle.
- Never using sharp fork or knife to remove the food as this would damage the non-stick coating of cooking surface. Use heat-resistant wood or plastic utensils only.
- Before cleaning the heating plate make sure the appliance has been disconnected from power supply and heating plate is cool enough.
Warning: Never touch the metal plate of the top lid during operation. As the metal plate is very hot scalding may occur if touched the metal plate.
Cleaning and Maintenance
- Unplug the appliance from power supply and wait it completely cool before cleaning.
- Use the soft wet cloth wipe the heating surface and never use the abrasive cleaner to wipe the heating plate otherwise the non-stick coating would be easily damaged.
Note: the heating plate cannot be removed and replaced.
- Clean the sandwich maker every time after use.
- If any problem has been found, please contact the authorized service center for help.
