Frequently Asked Questions - EBL-D1552G(BK) Elba

How do I clean the blender?
After use, fill the jar halfway with warm water and a drop of dish soap. Run the blender on pulse for 30 seconds, then rinse thoroughly. The jar and lid are dishwasher safe (top rack).
Can I blend hot liquids?
Allow hot liquids to cool to at least 60°C before blending. Never blend boiling liquids as pressure buildup may cause the lid to pop off.
The blender stops suddenly during use. What should I do?
This may be due to overload protection. Unplug the blender and let it cool for 15 minutes. Reduce the load and try again.
Can I crush ice with this blender?
Yes, use the pulse function in short bursts. Add ice cubes gradually and do not exceed the maximum capacity.
How to replace the blender jar?
Ensure the blender is unplugged. Lift the jar straight up from the base. To install, align the jar's base with the drive coupling and press down until it locks.Spare jars can be ordered from Elba.
Why does my blender leak from the bottom?
Check the seal ring under the jar. If damaged or not seated properly, replace it. Ensure the jar is correctly assembled.
What is the maximum capacity for dry ingredients?
For dry blending (e.g., grains), do not exceed 1 liter to avoid overloading the motor.
Can I use the blender to make hot soup?
Yes, but only if the soup is cooled to 60°C first. For hot soup, consider using an immersion blender instead.
How often should I replace the blades?
Blades should be replaced if they become dull or damaged. Under normal use, they last 1-2 years. Replacement blade sets are available.
Is the blender BPA-free?
Yes, the jar and all plastic parts are made from BPA-free materials, safe for food contact.
