How do I descale the Adler CR 1242 kettle?

Mix equal parts water and white vinegar, fill to the max line, boil, let sit for 30 minutes, then rinse thoroughly. Repeat if needed. For regular maintenance, use a descaling solution or citric acid.

Why won't my Adler CR 1242 turn on?

Check that the kettle is properly seated on the base and the power cord is plugged in. Ensure the auto shut-off lever is not stuck. If the kettle boiled dry, the boil-dry protection may have tripped; let it cool before using again.

Can I boil milk in this kettle?

No, this kettle is designed for water only. Boiling milk or other liquids can damage the heating element and cause scalding.

1. Before using the product please read carefully and always comply with the following instructions. The manufacturer is not responsible for any damages due to any misuse.

2. The product is only to be used indoors. Do not use the product for any purpose that is not compatible with its application.

3. The applicable voltage is 230V, \~50Hz. For safety reasons it is not appropriate to connect multiple devices to one power outlet.

4. Please be cautious when using around children. Do not let the children to play with the product. Do not let children or people who do not know the device to use it without supervision.

5. WARNING: This device may be used by children over 8 years of age and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or persons without experience or knowledge of the device, only under the supervision of a person responsible for their safety, or if they were instructed on the safe use of the device and are aware of the dangers associated with its operation. Children should not play with the device. Cleaning and maintenance of the device should not be carried out by children, unless they are over 8 years of age and these activities are carried out under supervision.

6. After you are finished using the product always remember to gently remove the plug from the power outlet holding the outlet with your hand. Never pull the power cable!!!

7. Never put the power cable, the plug or the whole device into the water. Never expose the product to the atmospheric conditions such as direct sun light or rain, etc.. Never use the product in humid conditions.

8. Periodically check the power cable condition. If the power cable is damaged the product should be turned to a professional service location to be replaced in order to avoid hazardous situations.

9. Never use the product with a damaged power cable or if it was dropped or damaged in any other way or if it does not work properly. Do not try to repair the defected product yourself because it can lead to electric shock. Always turn the damaged device to a professional service location in order to repair it. All the repairs can be done only by authorized service professionals. The repair that was done incorrectly can cause hazardous situations for the user.

10. Never put the product on or close to the hot or warm surfaces or the kitchen appliances like the electric oven or gas burner.

6. CAUTION: Before lifting the kettle from the base make sure that the kettle is turned off.

7. This equipment is intended for domestic and similar use, such as: staff kitchens in stores, offices and other work environments, utility rooms, by customers in hotels, motels and other residential environments of this type, in bedrooms and dining rooms.

8. Always use caution when boiling water in the kettle. Do not touch the housing of kettle or

lid. Do not open the lid during boiling in kettle or immediately after boiling, because steam coming out of lid can cause burns.

6. Do not use aggressive detergents to wash the kettle housing - they can damage the kettle or remove the markings.

7. The device is not designed to work with external schedulers or separate remote control system.

8. Do not wash the base of the kettle directly in the water, just wipe with a dry cloth.

9. Children aged 3 to 8 years old can enable and disable the device only when it is in its normal position of use, they are supervised or instructed on the safe use and understand the resulting risks. Children aged 3 to 8 years old can not connect device, operate, clean or maintain.

USING THE ELECTRIC KETTLE

BEFORE FIRST USE: Fill up the kettle with water, boil and pour. Repeat three times. To remove possible scent of manufactory, please boil few times water.

1. Fill the kettle with water. Make sure that heating plate is fully immersed in water.

2. Place the appliance on the flat, even and heat resistant surface.

3. Plug the kettle to the 230\~50Hz mains, press ON/OFF switch. Indicator lamp will light.

4. After boiling water the kettle will automatically switch off.

5. Before taking the kettle out of the base make sure it is switched off.

6. The kettle can manually be switched off in any time by ON/OFF switch.

7. Keep lid closed during boiling process. Or the kettle won't automatically switch off.

8. After boiling, time demanded for the thermostat to be ready is 2 minutes. After this time kettle can be switched on again.

9. Regularly remove limestone sediment inside the kettle. Sediment may cause overheating of the kettle, shorten life cycle and cancel guarantee. Use mixings available in household stores or apply citric acid.

10. Switching empty kettle, or with insufficient level of water, will cause automate switching off the kettle. Wait till cool down the kettle, pour enough water and after few minutes switch the kettle on.

11 When the water is heated to the appropriate temperature, device signals this with three beeps. If the kettle is not removed from the base, after a few minutes a beep will be repeated.

1. The beep sound warns user when the device is not on the basis of, or is not put properly. The display shows "EO".

2. The kettle is an electrical device and it is not designed to hold water or other liquids. After boiling, the water must be immediately pour into another bowl. The water in the kettle after boiling can not stay longer than 10 minutes. Before each use, fill the kettle with fresh water above the minimum and below the maximum level.

TEMPERATURE PROGRAMMING

To adjust the water temperature, press the ON button on the control panel (7), and then press PROG. Now set the desired temperature using the TEMP + / TEMP- buttons. When the water has heated up to this temperature, the kettle will switch off and signal a beep sound.

CLEANING OF MAINTENANCE

Regularly descale the kettle. Descaling doesn't belong to guarantee service. Lack of regular descaling causes damage of the elements of the appliance and cancels warranty of the product. Use descaling mixture to descale the kettle.
