Can the VF218TTQ be combined with a home networking enclosure?

Yes, using the patented double slider (VZ850N), the VF218TTQ can be joined with a golf home networking enclosure (e.g., VF218PZD) to create a combined mains and data distribution unit. The total cutout height increases by 38 mm.

What are the dimensions and cutout requirements?

The external dimensions are 460 mm width x 418 mm height. The wall cutout must be at least 426 mm wide x 382 mm high with a minimum depth of 72 mm. For combined boards using a double slider, add 38 mm to the height.

What type of doors are available?

The enclosure accepts either an opaque door (VZ608N) or a transparent polycarbonate door (VZ628N). Both are sold separately and can be mounted on the right or left side, opening up to 180°.

Does the enclosure come with terminals?

Yes, the VF218TTQ is supplied with Qlink terminals (screwless) for earth and neutral connections. The terminals are rated for 4 mm² conductors and provide quick, reliable installation.

What is the IP rating of the enclosure?

Without a door, the IP rating is IP30; with a door fitted, it achieves IP40. The enclosure also has an IK07 impact resistance rating.

Can I use 100A devices inside the VF218TTQ?

The enclosure is rated for devices up to 63A. For higher currents (up to 100A), consider the VF218TTH variant which includes 100A brass terminals. However, the VF218TTQ is designed for standard 63A applications.

What busbar system does it use?

It uses a fork-type insulated busbar (supplied) with 12 poles per row (2 x 12 poles total). The busbar is compatible with Hager onekonekt modular devices and has end caps for safety.

How do I clean and maintain the enclosure?

Clean the exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents. Periodically check the door seals and terminal connections to ensure proper operation.

Description

RCBO's are compact combination devices which provide MCB overcurrent protection & earth leakage protection. The Type A devices, with line neutral switched, are available with various current ratings ranging from 10A - 40A.

Type A devices are designed with intrinsic features that can detect AC as well as pulsating DC residual currents.

The type A device filters out interference from modern day appliances such as TV's washing machines and LED lighting, that can potentially prevent the device from operating accurately.

top/bottom

• One side of the surface enclosure is designed for use of trunking and knock outs. The other side of the enclosure has dimples located for the various sizes of conduit entries, 20mm, 25mm, 32mm and 40mm. The enclosure is symmetrical through 180°.
• For flush enclosures, Precut with diameters 20, 25, 32 and 40mm, the wall box is 180^ rotatable, to provide slider position on top or bottom.

Cutout for combined boards utilising double slider (Flush enclosures only)

When connecting 2 x VFx18 enclosures with a double slider, an additional 38mm must be added to the total cutout height of the boards.

e.g. VF118PT joining with a VF218PZD = 257mm + 382mm + 38mm.

Total height for the cutout = 677mm.

Width of the cutout remains consistent at 426mm.
