How do I connect the KPC-EW38NUP3 camera?

Connect the video output (BNC or RCA) to a monitor or DVR with 75Ω impedance. Use a regulated DC 12V power supply (300mA recommended). Refer to the CONNECTION section in the manual.

How to access the OSD menu?

Use the built-in joystick on the camera cable. Press the joystick to enter the menu, and move it up/down/left/right to navigate. The OSD MENU STRUCTURE in the manual details all settings.

How to enable WDR (Wide Dynamic Range)?

Go to MAIN MENU > WDR-BLC > WDR MODE and set to ON. Adjust LEVEL, CONTRAST1, and CONTRAST2 as needed.

How to set Day/Night mode?

Navigate to MAIN MENU > DAY&NIGHT > MODE. Choose COLOR (always color), BW (always black/white), or AUTO (switches based on light). Adjust delay and threshold if needed.

How to configure Motion Detection?

From MAIN MENU > SPECIAL > MOTION DET, set it to ON. Adjust DETECT SENSE (sensitivity) and define up to 4 detection areas (AREA SEL). Use BLOCK DISP to view detected blocks.

How to set Privacy Masking zones?

Go to MAIN MENU > SPECIAL > PRIVACY. Set MOOF to ON, select AREA SEL (up to 15 zones), then use the joystick to position and adjust size and color.

How to reset to factory defaults?

In the OSD menu, go to MAIN MENU > FACTORY DEFAULT and select SAVE/EXIT to reset all settings to default. Confirm by selecting 'EXIT' and then 'SAVE/EXIT'.

Can this camera be used outdoors?

The camera is designed for indoor use with an operating temperature range of -10°C to 50°C. For outdoor use, you need an appropriate weatherproof housing (not included).

What power supply is recommended?

Use a regulated DC 12V power supply with at least 300mA current capacity. An unregulated supply may damage the camera and void the warranty.

How to clean the camera lens?

Use a dry, soft cloth to gently wipe the lens. Do not use any liquids or solvents. For the housing, clean with a dry cloth only. Refer to the IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS.
