Observeroomtemperature
The appliance is designed for specific climatic class. Ir respective of the climatic class, the appliance can be operated at the following room temperatures.
The climatic class can be found on the rating plate at the bottom left-hand side in the appliance.

Ventilation
Conductionoftheheatedairmustnotbeobstructed 20. Otherwise,therefrigeratingunitmustworkharder. This increasespowerconsumption. Therefore:Nevercoverorblockventilationopening!
Installingtheappliance
Theapplianceshouldbeinstalledinadry,wellventilated room.Theinstallationlocationsshouldneitherbeexposed todirectsunlightnornearaheatsource,e.g.acooker, radiator,etc.Iffinstallationnexttoaheatsources unavoidable,useasuitableinsulatingplateorobserve thefollowingminimumdistanceoahatsource:

Connectingtheappliance
Afterinstallingtheappliance, waitatleast1 hour until the appliancestartsup. During transportation theoilin the compressormay have flowed into therefrigeration system.
Beforeswitchingontheapplianceforthefirsttime, clean theinterior(see Cleaning).
Thesocketshouldbefreelyaccessible. Connect the applianceto220-240 V/50 Hzalternatingcurrentvia a correctlyinstalledearthedsocket. Thesocketmust be fusedwitha10 to16Afuse.
If the appliance is to be operated in an non-European country, check on therating plate whether the indicated voltage and current type corresponds to the values of your main supply. Therating plate is located in the refrigerator compartment at the bottom left-hand side. The power cable must only be replaced by a technician.

Neverconnecttheappliancetoelectronicenergysaver plugsortopowerinverterswhichconvertthedirect currentto230 Alternatingcurrent(e. g.solar equipment,powersuppliesonships).
Switchingontheappliance
Switchontheappliancewiththemainswitch 8.
A warningsignalsoundsandalarmbutton 1 flashes.
Pressalarmbutton 1 to switch off the warnings signal.
Thealarmbuttonislitandthetemperaturedisplaysflash untiltheappliancehasreachedthesettemperatures.
Operatingtips
- Whiletherefrigeratingunitisrunning, beadsofwater orhoarfrostformatthebackoftherefrigerator compartment. Thisisquitenormal.Itisnotnecessary toscrapeoffthefrostorwipeoffthebeadsofwater. Therearpaneldefrostsautomatically.Thecondensationflowsintotheevaporationareaofthe applianceviathecondensationchannelsand the drainagehole.
- ThefullyautomaticNo Frostsystemkeepsthefreezer compartmentandrefrigeratorcompartmentfree of ice.Defrostingisnotrequired.
- Thesidesofthehousingaresometimesheated slightly. Thispreventscondensationintheareaof the doorseal.
- If you cannot open the freezer compartment door immediately after closing it, wait 2–3 minutes until the partial vacuum hasequalised.
Selectingthetemperature
Refrigeratorcompartment
(canbeselectedfrom+2 °Cto+8 °C)
Keepressingtemperatureselectionbutton 6 until the required refrigerator compartment temperatureisset. The value last selected is stored.
Thesettemperatureisindicatedondisplay 7.
Werecommendasettingof+4 °C.
Perishable food should not be stored warmer than +4 °C.
Freezercompartment
(canbeselectedfrom-16 °Cto-24 °C)
Keepressingtemperatureselectionbutton 3 until the requiredfreezercompartmenttemperatureisset. The valuelastselecteddisstored.
Thesettemperatureisindicatedondisplay 4.
Werecommendasettingof -18^ compartment.
Warningsignal
Switchingoffthewarningsignal
If the alarm button 1 is pressed, the warnings signal switches off and the display is reset to standby.
Doorwarningsignal
The door warnings signals switches on if the appliance is left open for longer than one minute. Along-term warnings signals sounds.

Ensure that the freezer compartment door is always closed! If the door is open, the frozen food will thaw.
The freezer compartment will become recovered in thick ice.

Usebythe"best-before"date.
Temperatureinthesupermarketfreezer-18 °Corlower.
If possible, transport deep-frozen food in an insulated bag and place quickly in the freezer compartment.
Storingfrozenfood
Toensuregoodaircirculationintheappliance, insert the freezerdrawersalltheway.
Ifalargequantityoffoodistobeplacedinthefreezer compartment, the food can be stacked directly on the glassshelves and in the bottom of the freezer compartment. Todo this, remove all the freezer drawers. Pull out the freezer drawers all the way, lift at the front and remove.

The following foods a resuitable for freezing:

The following foods are not suitable for freezing:
Eggsinshells, souredcream and mayonnaise, green salads, radishes and onions.
Blanchingvegetablesandfruit
Toretaincolour, flavour, aroma and vitamin C, vegetables and fruit should be blanched prior to freezing.
Blanchingisthebriefimmersionofvegetablesandfruit in boilingwater.
Literatureonfreezingandblanchingisavailable in bookshops.
Freezingfood
Freezefresh, undamaged food only.
Keepfoodwhichistobefrozenawayfromfoodwhich is alreadyfrozen.
Topreventfoodfromlosingitsflavourordryingout,place inairtightcontainers.
Max.freezingcapacity
Informationaboutthemax.freezingcapacity within 24 hourscanbefoundontheratingplate.

The following products are suitable for wrapping/packing food:

The following products aresuitable for sealing the wrapped food:
Rubberbands, plasticclips, string, cold-resistant adhesivetapeorsimilar. Bags and polyethyleneblown film can be sealed with a film sealer.
Shelflifeoffrozenfood
Dependsonthetypeoffood.Atameantemperature:
- Fish, sausage, readymeals and cakes and pastries: upto 6 months
- Cheese, poultry and meat: upto 8 months
•Vegetablesandfruit: upto12months
Superfreezing
Foodshouldbefrozensolidasquicklyaspossiblein ordertoretainvitamins,nutritionalvalue,appearanceand flavour.
Topreventanundesirabletemperaturerisewhenplacing freshfoodinthefreezercompartment,switchonsuper freezingseveralhoursbeforehand.
Smallerquantitiesoffoodcanbefrozenwithoutsuper freezing.
