Insert one end of the supplied AC power cord to the AC IN socket located at the rear of the unit, and the other end to the wall outlet.
DC (BATTERY) OPERATION
- To play your unit on batteries, the AC power cord must be disconnected from the unit and Wall outlet.
- Insert 3 batteries, type R14, UM2 or C cells (not included) into battery compartment and then close the compartment door.
Note: Check your batteries regularly. Old or discharged batteries should be replaced. If the unit is not to be used for sometimes or is being run exclusively on AC electrical current, remove batteries from the battery compartment to avoid leakage.
WARNING
Before using the unit, check that the local mains supply is compatible with the unit. Do not plug or unplug the power cable when your hands wet.
When planning not to use the unit for long periods of time (i.e. vacation etc.) disconnect the plug from the wall outlet.
RADIO
- Turn on the radio to the wave band by using the RADIO BAND SELECTOR to AM / FM.
- Adjust the sound with the controls VOLUME CONTROL KNOB.
- Tune to a radio station using FREQUENCY TUNING KNOB.
- Turn off the radio by using the RADIO BAND SELECTOR to OFF.
TO IMPROVE RECEPTION:
- For FM, pull out the telescopic aerial. To improve FM Reception incline and turn the aerial, reduce its length if the FM-signal is too strong (very close to a transmitter).
- For AM, the set is provided with a built-in aerial, so there is no need to use the telescopic aerial. Turn the set to find the best position.
VOLUME
Adjust the sound with the tuning VOLUME CONTROL KNOB
You may connect headphones (not included) to 3.5mm HEADPHONE JACK. The loudspeaker is then muted.
Avoid listening to headphones at high volume levels to prevent possible hearing damage.

PRECAUTIONS
- For AC operation, make sure the voltage is compatible. Always use the supplied AC power cord; never use other AC power cord.
- Always disconnect the AC power cord from the AC power source when it is not in use.
- Do not leave the batteries in the compartment for a long time. Remove the batteries to avoid leakage and damage.
- Do not expose the unit to extreme temperature nor high humidity to ensure normal functioning for a long lifetime.
For instances, never place the unit in bathing areas nor around stoves and radiators - If you find the unit is not working properly, please take it to your nearest services center. Do not attempt to repair by yourself.
WARNING
To prevent fire or shock hazard, do not expose the unit to rain or moisture.
To avoid electrical shock, do not open the cabinet, refer to service agent or qualified engineer only.

CAUTION
USING THE APPLIANCE IN VIOLATION OF THE MANUAL CAN CAUSE INJURY
(BY ELECTRIC CURRENT) OR PERMANENT DAMAGE TO THE APPLIANCE.
DANGER OF EXPLOSION IF BATTERY IS INCORRECTLY REPLACED REPLACE ONLY WITH THE SAME OF EQUIVALENT TYPE.
NOTE: The manufacturer is not responsible for any radio or TV interference caused by unauthorized modifications.
- Avoid installing the unit in locations described below:
- Places exposed to direct sunlight or close to heat radiating appliances such as electric heaters, or other equipments that radiate too much heat.
- Places subjected to constant vibration.
- Unventilated or dusty places.
- Humid or moist places.
CAUTION
TO REDUCE THE RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK, DO DOT REMOVE COVER (OR BACK). DO NOT OPEN THE UNIT. ANY SERVICING PLEASE REFER TO QUALIFIED SERVICE PERSONNEL.
WARNING
- Remove batteries if exhausted or if they will not be used for a long period.
- The incorrect use of batteries can cause electrolyte leakage and will corrode the compartment or cause the batteries to burst. Therefore:
• Do not mix battery types, e.g. alkaline with zinc carbonate. - When inserting new batteries, replace all batteries at the same time.
- Keep new and used batteries away from children.
- If the battery compartment does not close securely, stop using the product and keep it away from children.
• The apparatus is used in moderate climates.
• The battery shall not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or the like.
- The apparatus shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing and that objects filled with liquids, such as vases, shall not be placed on the apparatus.
- Where the MAINS plug or an appliance coupler is used as the disconnect device, the disconnect device shall remain readily operable.
This marking indicates that this product should not be disposed with other household wastes throughout the EU. To prevent possible harm to the environment or human health from uncontrolled waste disposal, recycle it responsibly to promote the sustainable reuse of material resources. To return your used device, please use the return and collection systems or contact the retailer where the product was purchased. They can take this product for environmental safe.

The ventilation should not be impeded by covering the ventilation openings with items, such as newspapers, table-cloths, curtains, etc.; No naked flame sources, such as lighted candles, should be placed on the apparatus; Attention should be drawn to the environmental aspects of battery disposal.
INSTRUCTIONS AND INFORMATION REGARDING THE DISPOSAL OF USED PACKAGING MATERIALS
Dispose of packaging material at a public waste disposal site.
DISPOSAL OF USED ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC APPLIANCES
The meaning of the symbol on the product, its accessory or packaging indicates that this product shall not be treated as household waste. Please, dispose of this product at your applicable collection point for the recycling of electrical & electronic equipment waste. Alternatively in some states of the European Union or other European states you may return your products to your local retailer when buying an equivalent new product. The correct disposal of this product will help save valuable natural resources and help in preventing the potential negative impact on the environment and human health, which could be caused as a result of improper liquidation of waste. EN Warranty conditions
Warranty card is not a part of the device packaging.
This product is warranted for the period of 24 months from the date of purchase to the end-user. Warranty is limited to the following conditions. Warranty is referred only to the customer goods using for common domestic use. The claim for service can be applied either at dealer's shop where the product was bought, or at below mentioned authorized service shops. The end-user is obligated to set up a claim immediately when the defects appeared but only till the end of warranty period. The end user is obligated to cooperate to certify the claiming defects. Only completed and clean (according to hygienic standards) product will be accepted. In case of eligible warranty claim the warranty period will be prolonged by the period from the date of claim application till the date of taking over the product by end-user, or the date the end-user is obligated to take it over. To obtain the service under this warranty, end-user is obligated to certify his claim with duly completed following documents: receipt, certificate of warranty, certificate of installation.
This warranty is void especially if apply as follows:
■ Defects which were put on sale.
■ Wear-out or damage caused by common use.
The product was damaged by unprofessional or wrong installation, used in contrary to the applicable instruction manual, used in contrary to legal enactment and common process of use or used for another purpose which has been designed for.
■ The product was damaged by uncared-for or insufficient maintenance.
■ The product was damaged by dirt, accident of force majeure (natural disaster, fire, and flood).
■ Defects on functionality caused by low duality of signal, electromagnetic field interference etc.
The product was mechanically damaged (e.g. broken button, fall).
■ Damage caused by use of unsuitable media, fillings, expendable supplies (batteries) or by unsuitable working conditions (e.g. high temperatures, high humidity, quakes).
■ Repair, modification or other failure action to the product by unauthorized person.
■ End-user did not prove enough his right to claim (time and place of purchase).
■ Data on presented documents differs from data on products.
Cases when the claiming product cannot be identified according to the presented documents (e.g. the serial number or the warranty seal has been damaged).
