Frequently Asked Questions - IPD-157B HAIER

How do I charge my iPod, iPhone, or iPad with the IPD-157B?
Simply dock your device using the correct adaptor. The unit will automatically charge the device when docked. Note: Older iPod Classic models are not supported for charging.
Why is my remote control not working?
First, ensure the insulation tab has been removed from the battery compartment. Point the remote directly at the sensor on the front panel within 20 feet. Bright sunlight or room lighting may interfere. If issues persist, replace the CR2032 battery.
How do I set the alarm using the AppClockRadio app?
After docking your iPod touch, iPhone, or iPad and launching the free AppClockRadio(VIEW XL) app, navigate to Alarm Settings. You can choose which days the alarm repeats, select a wake-up sound (music from your library, a preset radio station, or a tone), set the alarm time, and adjust snooze duration.
My alarm did not sound. What should I check?
Make sure the volume on your device is not muted or set to zero. The app must remain running for alarms to work; if the app is closed, alarms will not sound. Also, ensure the docking station is powered on overnight if you rely on it for wake-up.
Can I play video from my iPod/iPhone on my TV through the IPD-157B?
Yes. Use an HDMI cable (not included) to connect the HDMI OUT on the unit to your TV's HDMI IN. Press the VIDEO OUT button on the remote control to switch to TV output. Some devices may require pressing MENU to exit current video playback before selecting TV out.
What should I do if my iPod is not recognized when docked?
Remove the device and check for obstructions on the dock connector and device port. Ensure you are using the correct dock adaptor for your model. A slight delay is normal during the authentication process. If problems continue, reset the unit by unplugging the AC adaptor for a few minutes.
How do I choose the correct dock adaptor for my Apple device?
Refer to the compatibility chart on pages 23-24 of the manual. The unit includes 6 adaptors labeled A through F for different iPhone, iPod, and iPad models. Select the one that fits your device snugly to avoid stress on the connector.
Is the IPD-157B compatible with all iPods and iPhones?
It supports most iPod, iPhone, and iPad models with a 30-pin connector, including iPhone 4 and earlier, iPod touch (1st to 4th gen), iPod nano (1st to 6th gen), iPod classic, and iPad (1st and 2nd gen). It does not support iPod shuffle or later models with Lightning connectors.
How do I clean the unit?
Always disconnect from power before cleaning. Use a soft dry cloth to wipe the cabinet. Never use abrasive cloths, polishes, or allow any liquids to enter the unit.
What should I do if the unit becomes unresponsive or freezes?
Turn off the power, disconnect the DC IN plug from the back of the unit, wait a few minutes, then reconnect. This resets the unit to factory defaults. If the issue persists, contact Haier customer service at 1-877-337-3639.
