Frequently Asked Questions - HF235DPB Hanns.G

How do I clean the screen of my Hanns.G HF235DPB monitor?
Use a soft, dry microfiber cloth to gently wipe the screen. For stubborn smudges, slightly dampen the cloth with distilled water or a 50/50 mix of water and white vinegar. Never use alcohol, ammonia, or paper towels, as they can damage the anti-glare coating.
Does the HF235DPB support VESA mounting?
Yes, the monitor features a VESA 100x100mm mounting pattern, allowing you to attach it to a compatible arm or wall mount. Ensure the mount supports the monitor's weight (approximately 4.5 kg).
What cables are included with the Hanns.G HF235DPB?
Typically, the package includes a VGA cable, a power cord, and an audio cable. HDMI or DVI cables are not included and must be purchased separately if needed.
How can I adjust the brightness and contrast on the monitor?
Press the 'Menu' button on the bottom edge of the monitor to open the On-Screen Display (OSD). Navigate to 'Brightness' and 'Contrast' using the arrow buttons, then adjust to your preference. Press 'Menu' again to exit.
Why is my HF235DPB showing 'No Signal'?
Ensure the video cable (VGA, DVI, or HDMI) is securely connected to both the monitor and your PC. Verify the input source is correctly selected via the OSD (press 'Source' button). If using a desktop, check that the graphics card is outputting a supported resolution.
Can the built-in speakers be used without an audio cable?
No, the speakers require a 3.5mm audio cable connected from the monitor's audio input to your computer's audio output. HDMI can carry audio, but the monitor may not automatically switch; you may need to select HDMI as the audio source in your PC's sound settings.
Is the HF235DPB suitable for gaming?
The monitor has a 5ms response time and a 60Hz refresh rate, which is adequate for casual gaming. For competitive gaming, higher refresh rate monitors are recommended. It supports Full HD resolution, providing clear visuals.
How do I enable or disable the blue light filter?
Navigate to the OSD menu, find 'Low Blue Light' or 'Eye Care' mode, and toggle it on or off. This reduces blue light emission to reduce eye strain during prolonged use.
What should I do if the monitor power LED is off but the fan is running?
The HF235DPB does not have a fan; it is passively cooled. If the power LED is off, ensure the power cable is correctly connected and the power outlet is working. Try a different power cord or outlet. If the issue persists, contact support.
How can I find spare parts or repair information for the HF235DPB?
Contact Hanns.G customer support or authorized service centers. Some parts like the stand or power supply may be available online. The user manual includes exploded diagrams. You can also check online forums or professional repair services.
