How do I use the MPM MLO-03 curling iron?

INSTRUCTIONS ASSOCIATED WITH USE SAFETY

Read the manual carefully before use.

Do not operate the device when your hands are wet!
- Keep the unit away from the water.
Never put the unit, cable or plug into water or other liquids.
Take special precautions if there are children nearby.

Do not hang the wire on sharp edges and do not let it touch hot surfaces.

Never use damaged unit. The same applies in case the conductor or a plug is damaged; - in such case have your unit repaired in an authorized service center.
Use of accessories other than those recommended by the manufacturer may cause damage to the unit, fire or body injure.

Always take a plug from a socket when you are not using the device or before starting any maintenance activities.

▶ Never use the unit when taking a bath!

In case the unit falls into the water unplug the unit immediately!

▶ Never leave a switched on unit without a control!

Do not touch the hot elements of the unit – you may burn yourself!

Do not put the unit on hot surfaces.

Do not put operating unit or hot one on cloths, e.g. table cloths, upholstery, blankets or carpets or other flammable objects (curtains, paper, wood etc.) as well as flammable liquids.

Do not wind the cable on the unit!
The unit is designed to work at a household.

Do not use this appliance near the bathtub, shower, swimming pool or any similar water tank, container or receptacle.

▶ After use the unit in a bathroom is over, unplug it since the water might be hazardous even in case the unit is switched off.

To provide additional protection it is recommended to fasten a RCD circuit breaker for altering current, operating at the 30 mA level in the circuit in the bathroom. Seek for professional electrician advice.

This appliance is not intended for use by children under 8 years of age and individuals with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be carried out by children without supervision.

USING YOUR CURLING IRON

1. Plug the appliance into the mains and wait for a few minutes to allow it to reach its working temperature.
2. Hair should be dry or very dry. Separate the stands of to be curled gently brush it free of tangles. Wrap the hair around the barrel using your hand as a guide and then wind the barrel towards the scalp exactly as you would when using a roller. Hold it in place for 10-20 seconds and then gently unwind it.
3. Holding it in position for just 5-10 seconds will create gently waves. To achieve extra bounce and body lift several strands of hair and gently run a brush through them from scalp to the hair ends.
4. This appliance is suitable for natural and bleached or color hair. Fine or bleached hair should need only 10-20 seconds wrapped around the barrel to achieve good results, coarse hair may

need a little longer. In practice a little experimentation and experience will give the desired results whatever the hair type.

1. This appliance can be used on natural hair wigs.
2. Do not however use it on artificial hair wigs or hairpieces as these may melt in the heat generated by the barrel.
3. Do not use on hair which has been treated with lacquer or setting lotion as this can stick to the barrel, reducing its efficiency.
4. After the curler has cooled down it may be hanged due to the hanger (8).

CLEANING

1. The hair curler does not require any special maintenance. Follow the instructions for use below.
2. To ensure proper operation, the appliance should be kept clean. Do not wipe the hair curler with abrasive materials and do not use any chemical agents.
3. Always unplug the appliance immediately after hair styling is finished or before cleaning.
4. Use damp cloth for cleaning the external surfaces of the appliance.
5. After hair styling is finished, wait until the hair curler cools down.
6. Do not wind the power cord around the appliance!
