How do I fill the water tank?

Open the water inlet cover, tilt the iron, and fill with tap water up to the MAX mark. Do not overfill.

What type of water should I use?

Use ordinary tap water. Do not use distilled or demineralised water, as it may affect steam production.

Why is my iron not producing steam?

Ensure the water tank is filled, the temperature dial is set to a high enough level, and the steam control is on. If needed, run the self-clean function to clear blockages.

How do I clean the iron?

Use the self-clean function every 10 uses: fill tank, set to max temperature, unplug, press the self-clean button while holding over sink. Also wipe the soleplate with a damp cloth.

Does the iron have an auto-off feature?

Yes, it automatically shuts off after 8 minutes of inactivity on its base, or after 30 seconds if left on its soleplate.

What does the anti-drip system do?

It prevents water from leaking out of the soleplate when the temperature is too low, ensuring no water spots on clothes.

How do I descale the iron?

Use the self-clean function (see cleaning instructions). For heavy buildup, you can use a Tefal descaling solution following the manual.

Can I use the iron with perfume or vinegar?

No, only use tap water. Additives can damage the iron and void the warranty.

Where can I find spare parts?

Spare parts such as the soleplate and water tank are available from Tefal’s official website or authorized service centers.

What should I do if the iron is not heating?

Check the power cord and outlet. If the iron is plugged in but not heating, it may be due to the auto-off activation—wait for it to cool down and reset. If persists, contact Tefal support.
