- Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
- To protect against electrical hazards, do not immerse the cord, plug, or appliance itself in water or other liquids.
- Only use the appliance for household purposes and in the way indicated in these instructions.
- Stand the appliance on a stable, flat surface.
- Never use the appliance near hot surfaces.
- Make sure the cord never comes into contact with the hot parts of the appliance.
- Never move the appliance by pulling the cord. Make sure the cord cannot get caught in any way. Do not wind the cord around the appliance and do not bend it.
- Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions, or has been damaged in any manner, return appliance to the nearest authorized service agent for examination, repair or adjustment.
- Never use the appliance outdoors and always place it in a dry environment.
- Only use fresh and cold water.
- Always fill in water between the MIN and MAX level mark. Never use when water overfilling, since boiling water may be ejected.
- When using, make sure the lid is closed correctly. Never open the lid when the jug kettle is in use and when there are risks of hot water projection due to boiling.
- Be careful not to get burned by the hot steam when the water is boiling, especially when you open the lid.
- Never touch the hot parts of the appliance such as the metal body (if applicable), only touch the plastic parts and take the jug kettle by the handle.

Do not forget that the temperature of the boiled water is high. Handle your kettle with care to avoid any risk of scalding.

Keep the appliance above 0^ C otherwise any water in the appliance will freeze and cause damage.
- Unplug unit from outlet when not in use and make sure is has cooled down before cleaning or storing.
- Use only the base supplied with the kettle.
- Never use accessories which are not recommended by the producer. They could constitute a danger to the user and risk to damage the appliance.
- Save this instruction for future use.
BEFORE THE FIRST OPERATION
Please read the operating instruction carefully.
Before using for the first time, boil fresh water at least twice in the appliance in order to clean any residue left from the manufacturing process.
OPERATION
Always remove the jug from its base before filling it.
Open the lid by pushing at the locking button and fill the tank with fresh • water, paying attention not to fill under the minimum mark and above the maximum mark in the water gauge. (You can see the level by the transparent water gauge on the body.)
Close the lid by pressing it down until it you hear a click. Make sure it • closes correctly.
Put the kettle onto the base, plug into the wall socket and switch on, then • the indicator lamp lights up.
The jug kettle will switch off automatically when the water has boiled.
Disconnect the kettle from the base, pour out the hot water with the lid • closed.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Make sure the appliance is unplugged from the supply socket and fully • cooled down before cleaning.
To clean the exterior surfaces, slightly wipe over with a soft damp cloth • and dry thoroughly.
To clean the inner walls of the kettle, use a soft damp cloth or a soft brush • to remove the dirt.
Note: Never use abrasive products.
To clean the filter, open the lid and pull the filter out from the interior •
body, then rinse with running water and dry it thoroughly before reassembling.
Never immerse the jug kettle or its base in water.
DESCALING
The appliance has to be descaled regularly to ensure optimum performance. The frequency depends on the water hardness and the boiling frequency.
- If you begin to notice the increase of the noise during boiling, or the kettle switches off before boiled, this indicates that descaling is necessary.
Generally, the descaling should be done in the following periodicity:
With soft water, at least once every 6 months.
With hard water, at least once every 3 months.

It is highly recommended to use only descaling agent suitable for plastic kettles.

Read carefully the instructions of descaling agent then operate the descaling process step by step.

After the descaling, rinse the inner of the kettle thoroughly with clean water.
Note:

Never use vinegar as descaling agent.

In case of doubt concerning the water hardness, ask your local tap water company.
