Install Instructions
Please read this Installation Guide and the attached manufacturer's Installation Instructions carefully. These guidelines apply to the following product only: CADDY®, Flange Clamp, model 4-H-2-4 (4H24).
- Follow the manufacturer's installation instructions for proper installation techniques and use of this product (see page 2).
- This product is designed to be installed only on beam flanges that are between 1/8" and 1/4" thick (0.125 - 0.250 inches or 3.17 - 6.35mm).
- The Maximum Static Load (MSL limit) is 200 pounds (90.9 kg). The MSL applies to the clamp only - all other fasteners must meet or exceed that weight load rating.
- Never exceed the Safety Factor Limits of this product. Always allow a load safety factor based on local, state, and/or Federal codes and regulations
- The clamps are designed for axial loads only (see page 2 illustrations). Lateral or side loading must be avoided.
- Ensure the clamps are installed properly. They must not be forced onto a flange that is too thick (more than 1/4", 0.250" or 6.35mm). They must not be used on a flange that is too thin (1/8", 0.125" or 3.17mm). Measure the flange if in doubt of its thickness.
- Always visually inspect clamp installation. Check to ensure that the clamp is installed square with the flange. Check to ensure that the clamp is secure after installation.
- Never strike the clamp with a hammer or other metallic device.
• These clamps are designed for indoor use in non-corrosive environments only.
WARNING
Be sure to securely tighten all appropriate hardware on loudspeakers, suspension systems, boo supports, mounting brackets, etc. when installation overhead systems. Wire rope, thimbles and clips with saddles of suitable strength are the recommended materials for overhead suspension. Chain and rope are not recommended, nor do we ever specify them, for the purpose of installing overhead loudspeaker systems. All loudspeakers should be redundantly safety wired to structural members of the building.
*Agency inspection of a new or renovated installation is usually required by most municipalities. Always check local (and all other applicable) safety codes before installing any overhead loudspeaker system.
Misuse or misapplication may cause product failure, resulting in property damage and/or bodily injury.
Please read the attached manufacturer's Installation Instructions and Warning.
