Frequently Asked Questions - OF9FT PROLINE

How do I assemble the wheels on my Proline OF9FT radiator?
Turn the radiator upside down. Fit the wheel mounting plates to the bottom using the U-bolts. Attach the plates with the provided wing nuts. Then turn the radiator upright and allow oil to settle before use.
How do I set the timer on the OF9FT?
Slide the switch to the timer symbol position. Turn the timer dial clockwise to set the current time (24-hour clock). Push the red teeth outward for each 15-minute period you want the heater on. The radiator will operate automatically each day at the set times.
What cleaning methods are safe for this radiator?
Ensure the heater is switched off, unplugged, and cool. Wipe the outer surface with a slightly damp cloth and dry thoroughly. Never immerse in water or use abrasive/chemical cleaners.
What do the power settings I, II, and III mean?
I = Low heat, II = Medium heat, III = High heat. The power selector allows you to choose the desired heating level.
How does the thermostat work?
Turn the thermostat knob clockwise to MAX to start. Once the room reaches your desired temperature, slowly turn the knob anticlockwise until the indicator light goes out. The thermostat will then maintain that temperature.
Is it safe to leave the radiator unattended?
The radiator has a tip-over switch that shuts it off if knocked over, and overheat protection. However, do not cover the heater and keep away from flammable materials. It is recommended not to leave it unattended for long periods.
What should I do if the power cord is damaged?
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or similarly qualified persons to avoid a hazard. Do not use the radiator.
Can I use an external timer or remote control with this heater?
No, do not use a programmer, timer, separate remote-control system, or any device that switches the heater on automatically. This poses a fire risk if the heater is covered or positioned incorrectly.
How should I store the OF9FT radiator?
Store it in a dry area, in an upright position. Wrap the power cord around the cord storage at the side of the radiator. Allow it to cool completely before storing.
Why does my radiator turn off automatically?
It may be due to the tip-over switch activating if the radiator is knocked over, or the overheat protection if it is covered or blocked. Ensure the heater is placed upright on a stable surface and not covered.
